Finally here
Roy Mustang turns the key in the lock of his new dorm room, #118. He's relieved to see that it is, in fact, both on the ground level and close to a convenient exit. Not much of a view, but it's not like the school is much to look at anyway as far as scenery goes.
His roommate isn't around, but he figures the kid'll find his way here eventually.
He pushes the door open and enters, noticing a familiar luggage set on one side of the room. His luggage set. He doesn't know who put it there since it WASN'T WITH HIM WHEN HE WOKE UP IN THIS BIZARRE WORLD. But anyway. With a sigh he tosses his satchel of textbooks and supplies onto the bed next to the other stuff, and flops down in the deskchair. On the desk is a "desktop computer", already set up it seems, and next to it lies a thick, white paper packet with words emboldened in large, friendly letters on the cover:
DON'T PANIC.
THE USE AND CARE OF A COMPUTER:
A GUIDE FOR STUDENTS FROM HISTORICAL/DIMENSIONAL ERAS THAT PREDATE CONVENTIONAL COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY
Roy picks it up, reads the first chapter, decides that's enough, then throws it back behind his bed where it will never be seen again.
