It was a bit past eight and Mac had seen neither hide nor hair of Mr.Q. She figured he had just missed her room, but there was always the chance he had been eaten by one of the monsters downstairs or sucked into another dimension. She hoped he was just lost or running late. Just in case, she grabbed her journalism homework, and camped out outside her door.
