Feeling rather bored and cooped up in his dorm, Sora sat out in the student common room, trying to catch someone's eye, hoping he might get someone's attention. He had that homework assignment to finish, after all...

Krycek wandered down to the common room with a book and a disgusted expression; the second floor commotion seemed to be a little louder than usual (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomhighdorms/53457.html) and getting out of the way for a bit seemed like the best idea.

Throwing himself down in a chair, one leg thrown over one arm of the overstuffed seat, he began reading, albeit a bit distracted.

After no one had shown up for a while, Sora started to get well... honestly rather bored. Well at least he had other homework and stuff he could work on. He looked up as Krycek sat down and gave him a sympathetic smile as he looked rather disgruntled. "Hi."

"Hey," he said without looking up. He let his book fall into his lap a moment later upon realizing he'd been looking at the same sentence for at least several minutes without actually reading it. Krycek rubbed at his eyes, with a frustrated sigh.

"You on the second floor?" He asked, having heard them get kinda rowdy right before he headed out to the common room.

Krycek looked over at Sora, smirking. "Got it in one. Not that it's probably much better on the first or third floors."

Sora smiled brightly and shook his head. "Nah, kinda sounds like a herd of Large Body Heartless," He chuckled a little at his joke and played a bit with his computer.

"A herd of what now?" Nothing he'd ever heard of, but that wasn't usual here. Krycek looked a little more interested, linking his fingers over the closed book in his lap.

Sora paused as he realized what he'd said and blushed faintly. "Uhh..." He tried to think quick and looked a little uncomfortable. Damn, think before you speak, Sora!

He smiled sheepishly and rubbed his neck. "Ahh. Heartless... they're this uh... kind of creature, they steal peoples hearts and destroy worlds... You know... typical typical." He chuckled sheepishly, very obviously not saying the whole story.

Krycek raised his eyebrows, not seeming terribly phased by the explanation. "Yeah? Sounds like something I've encountered." The kid didn't sound like he'd meant to say it, so Krycek didn't press.

The smaller boy's head shot up, his eyes wide as he looked at Krycek. "What? Here?" He looked momentarily panicked.

"God, I hope not," he said, grimacing. "Something from where I come from."

Krycek eyed Sora, speaking again after a moment. "You okay?"

Sora sighed in releif and nodded slightly slumping back in his chair and looking serious, he had a momentary panic attack thinking that there might be heartless here. "Yeah.." He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair. "I just... well Heartless are kinda nasty. When they take your heart you become one of them..." He said honestly his mind still on the track that he was glad that they weren't there at the school.

"It happened to me actually." Sora said softly, he'd never told anyone that, the only ones who knew were Donald and Goofy... though if it weren't for that stupid M,M & M class he'd never have told anyone else.

Krycek nodded. "Me too. ...Not the Heartless, but the things on my world." The kid seemed upset, unsurprisingly, and Krycek felt a bit of sympathy. That reluctant tone was familiar too - he wouldn't have mentioned his own possession if Sora hadn't sounded like that.

Why don't you just tell him all your secrets then? Must be pretty damn tired, Alex.

Sora smiled back at Krycek, feeling sort of a weird companionship with him, he felt bad for what he was gonna do... but it wasn't like the heartless were gonna come here and he could always explain to him afterwards.

"Yeah... we've got this fruit where I come from called poupu fruit (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a273/Gryffie/poupu.jpg) and they say if you share and eat it with someone special you'll be tied together for the rest of your lives..." he trailed off with a sigh... that part was at least true and Sora's eyes darkened slightly as he thought of whom he shared it with. He put on a smile and looked back at Krycek. "But that's what saved me from the heartless." Sora said with a little more confidence. "When you share a poupu fruit, they also say that you share your heart and so mine wasn't all there to take."

Krycek smirked, though there wasn't much humor in it. "Nice. Unfortunately, we didn't have anything like that, unless it decided to leave voluntarily. Which I've only heard of once." He watched Sora, changing the subject to keep from thinking about it. "Alex Krycek, by the way."

Sora was thankful for the change of topic and smiled brightly, forcing the sad memories back down where they belonged, well hidden and away from the world. "Sora Kagi, nice to meet you. I think I've seen you in the halls and stuff at school."

"Yeah, probably." He smirked again, feeling more tired than anything at that point. Grabbing his book, he swung his foot off the arm of the chair. "Nice to meet you, Sora. I think I'm gonna head up and see if they're done demolishing, so I can get some sleep."

"Nice to meet you too, Alex." He smiled and slumped back into his chair, deciding to try this 'Sims' game he'd heard about, that and knowing his luck they'd be demolishing well into the night.
