Yawning, Jubilee shuffles into the common room holding a bag of popcorn and a gigantic bottle of root beer like a pair of beloved teddy bears. Her hair is sticking up funny, and she's wearing a pair of flannel PJs with rubber chickens on them and purple bunny slippers.

She rubs sleepily at her eyes, even though her inability to go to bed is what's led to her being here, and flops down on one of the couches. She sprawls out on the couch, grabbing the remote for the TV. Stuffing a handful of popcorn into her mouth, she flips on the TV, only to turn it on in the middle of a nature special on elephants ... currently, their mating habits.

"... EW."

EDIT: And now we're watching Press Your Luck. Yay for bad '70s game shows!

Anakin's cutting through the second floor on the way to the stairs closer to his room when he spots her in the common room.

"Hi," he says, then nods up at the television. "Are they doing what I think they're doing?"

Jubilee makes a face. "Yeah, thanks, but no thanks. I don't think I could live without color in my wardrobe. Or, you know, common sense."

She changes the channel to the Game Show Network. "Want to watch Press Your Luck with me?" she says as brightly as possible, holding out the open bag of popcorn.

"Not anymore, they're not," Jubilee says, grimacing. She points at the screen, where somebody just lost all their money to the Whammy. "Want to watch stupid people lose their money to a dancing cartoon gremlin?"

"Uh-huh. The reruns are on GSN." Jubilee stares at you like you've got a squid trying to escape from your ear. "You've never watched the Game Show Network?! Oh, dude, you're missing out. They play all those really awful seventies game shows where you could still get away with being a complete perv if you answered the right way. It's like crack, 'cept not."

He looked up at the show. "This is a rather peculiar program, isn't it? The gremlin's not actually alive, right?"

"Nah, it just seems that way because he's mean and takes all your money." Jubilee takes a swig of root beer before adding, "Not that that's ever stopped me from rooting for a Whammy every time. I keep waiting for a contestant to burst into tears."

"Who?" Jubilee frowns in confusion for a moment, then says, "Ohhhhh, you mean the old ones. I thought you meant the new one with the stupid host who can't tell a joke to save his life. And you didn't have cable?! Oh, man, here ..." She holds out the giant bottle of soda. "Have some root beer. If you wish really hard, it might turn into real beer."

"Well, we've moved on from the elephants -- which, not enough EWWWW in the world, okay? -- and went to Press Your Luck reruns. That guy --" Jubilee points to a contestant with an unfortuante Afro. "-- is going to lose all of his money, and the diamond necklace, and the Winnebago. And then he'll cry. A lot. Maybe there'll be a nervous breakdown and some rage killings. You know, if I wish hard enough."

Then she beams up at him. "Hi, I'm Jubilee. Weren't you the guy singing half-naked in the courtyard last night?"

"Oh, you know ... getting eaten by lockers, taking stupid science quizzes, plotting world domination. The usual." Jubilee offers up some popcorn and gestures towards the TV screen. "Want to hang out? And just to make it interesting, I'll put it on them jumping her in the alley on the way home from the studio."
