There is a Sentient Computer among you, just in case you needed to know. The only people with access to it/use of it are Deirdre and Beka ([livejournal.com profile] valentine_tart. (and a note to others, the basement of AmberHouse is now locked, don't even try it. *grin*) Ghost is a convenient way to ... get things ... and places. And he makes a great messenger, though he protests that it is beneath his mighty powers, the big headed git.

"Merlin of Amber created Ghostwheel. Merlin was the main character in the last 5 of Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber series. Merlin was a Prince of both Chaos and Amber and had walked both patterns. He studied computer science on the shadow of Amber which is our reality of present day, USA. The Ghost Wheel was a pretty cool computer situated in a place that only a prince of Amber could reach, so as to take advantage of certain physical laws, conditions, and gradients to build a very special kind of computer. Ghost Wheel was the ultimate server able to search through all the realities of Amber for any location and link it to any other. Ghostwheel was the ultimate trump."
Totally horked from this site: http://personal.palouse.net/billshan/ghost.htm

(OOC: yes, I have tweaked him a bit, and yes, Deirdre was dead before he was "invented/created/born". It's my fandom, I will play if I want to, or something... *more grinning*)

Also, the grounds of AmberHouse are patroled by Manticores*, and unless you live in the house or are invited in, you will run into them.

Thank you kindly. Announcement over, I return you to regular play.

*A monstrous creature which inhabits the forests in Asia, especially in Indonesia, Malaysia and India. The manticore, considered to be the most dangerous predator in these regions, has the body of a lion and a head with human resemblance. The mouth is filled with three rows of razor-sharp teeth and the scaled tail ends in a ball with poisonous darts. The monster stalks through the forest in search of humans. Upon an encounter with a human, the manticore fires a volley of darts at the victim, who dies immediately. This unfortunate person is devoured completely, even the bones and clothing, as well as the possessions this person carried, vanish. When a villager has completely disappeared, this is considered proof of the presence of a manticore.
