At the Entrance of the Dorms
Edward and Rogue trot wearily up to the doors, both covered in varying extremes of zombie gore. Edward has transmuted his automail arm-blade and Rogue has a gun and a pack.
He rests his left hand on the door's handle with relief. They hadn't seen but one zombie as they made the circuit to the dorm, but still it meant that there were more out there. Now, getting food and supplies was his primary concern. There were a LOT of people holed up in the library.

"Oh," she adds, almost as an afterthought, "can we NOT bring back any really weird stuff from the cafeteria?"

He glanced thoughtfully around the lobby as they went in. "We could always raid the second-floor common room... I know River had some snacks set up for the party-that-never-was. Not the most nutritional things ever, but anything would be sufficient, at this point."

The two walk toward the stairs, and even though the dorms are /supposed/ to be a haven, she holds her gun in her hand anyway. "I hope everyone here is okay."

He sighs, slings the bags over his left shoulder, and stops in the middle of the room. "Anything else we need besides food?"

Back on track, she lists off things that might come in handy: "Blankets, pillows, maybe some more medical supplies." Rogue thinks. "More ammo, stuff to fight the things with. It looks like we might be stuck there for a while."

I've never seen'em actually eat anything before, either..."He makes his way over to the other closet, pulling out some bedding and a spare pillow. "It isn't much, but I'm sure it will be useful. I don't have much in the way of medical supplies or ammo, thou'."

She helps him fold the bedding as small as possible. "Maybe we should leave this here and get it on our way back down."

He frowns, though. "We'd better hurry ... there aren't a lot of them out there, but there are a few more wandering around than before."

By the time they get to the top, Rogue is winded. "Damnit, someone remind me why I chose this floor?" She opens the door to her room, and finds it deserted. She starts rummaging through her closet, pulling out extra blankets and such. "Edward, you mind stripping my bed? It's the one with the blue comforter."

She also grabs a couple towels, washcloths and a bar of soap. "I dunno if there's water down there, but if there is..." Just for good measure, she tosses in a pair of clean underwear, jeans and a shirt.

She shoulders her bulging bag, then holsters her gun. "I think you should go first; I'll need both hands for the laundry bag." She picks it up, carefully balancing the weight. "Lead the way!" she says with a grin.

He heads down the stairs and pauses on the third floor, hearing signs of life (http://www.livejournal.com/community/fandomtownies/87433.html#comments). "Do you want to check that out, or head straight back? We could always use a spare set of hands..."
