Marty sneaks around the dorm, carefully avoiding George Lass and Faith and posts a large poster and flyers throughout the stairwells and main bulletin boards

River leans against a wall, watching Marty surreptitiously post his adverts. "I thought you said governments and nations were mostly public relations theory, these days. Why are you interested in the post, then?"

She raises an eyebrow and cocks her head inquisitively, awaiting some kind of answer.

"Well.... I never said public relations was a bad gig. Plus the rumor on the street is that the security office gets to hang out with the giant bouncing ball. Who'd pass up that opportunity."

"It is rather unusual, isn't it? How's your cheek?"

"It's okay. It hurts and I have to carry an inflatable donut with me whenever I want to sit down anywhere. I've had worse."

On her way to the 5th floor stairwell, George notices Marty's new posters and scowls. She glances around in what she thinks is a nonchalant manner and approaches the poster. With another quick check to make sure no one else is around, she pulls a big red Sharpie from the pocket of her hoodie.



She caps the Sharpie and puts it back in her pocket, chuckling to herself. Yeah, it was petty; but it was the kind of petty that makes one feel a hell of a lot better about oneself for at least a good five minutes or so.

Cheerfully humming under her breath, George practically skips her way out of the dorms and to her first class of the day.

Marty walks by the fifth floor stairwell and sees the new artwork done on his poster. He didn't mind the work on himself, but to deface one of the founding members of Wyld Stallyns?

That's sacrilege.

"I've never really gotten hurt... not that way. A few bruises, scrapes and abrasions, that sort of thing. What does it feel like?"

"Well I do the step machine a lot so it's pretty well toned and firm like an apple. You could probably bounce a quarter of it."

"Not as painful as you might think. Initially I'd compare it to getting a severe electrical shock. Afterwards... it hurts like hell."

She shakes her head, and breaks off. Then she adds, with a smile, "So, any chance you might need a deputy if you win?"

Marty gives her a grin.

"I may start my own 'goon' squad depending on what the job entails."
