The Basement (Locked to Crichton, Aeryn, Janet, Cam, and Vala)

The corridors of the basement were dark and quiet today. Students were away, preparing for Homecoming, preparing to dance and twirl and spin the night away. Miss Edith was her company right now, and Miss Edith was being punished for her naughtiness, and so Drusilla had taken away her tea set and was lecturing her on proper behavior for a lady.

John slowly peers around one of the basement's corners, spotting Drusilla talking to herself? Something else. He shakes his head and just decides to get it over with.

"Hello?"

This was...freakier than she'd expected. But if Parker and Liz had been scared, then Janet was no fool. She fingered the syringes in her pockets and hoped they wouldn't be necessary.

Cameron shivers slightly, this place was definitely less creepy when you were drunk. Wordlessly he followed Crichton.

Drusilla's head tilts, and her hands come up in the air, like she's about to direct an orchestra, but she turns and looks John right in the eye. "Good afternoon," she says calmly, as if he were just paying a social call. "These aren't my office hours, you know."

Vala is really not happy being here -- her instincts are always to not-be any place like this... by any means necessary.

But YoYo insisted on coming and the hell she was gonna let him get eaten by the squid... or mind-frelled by the Psych professor...

She's pretty much staying just next to and/or slightly behind Cam.

John comes around the corner until he's not guarded by a wall or anything. "Uh, yeah. This couldn't wait. Think I could talk to you for a second?"

Cameron appreciates Vala being there, although he'll definitely get pissed if this gets her into any danger.

Drusilla giggled. "I don't actually have office hours," she said. "But Miss Edith wouldn't forgive me if I didn't have a place to keep her friends." To her side is a porcelain doll dressed in an old-fashioned black lace smock gown. Its eyes have been poked out, and the miniature book in its lap was torn to shreds. "You've brought company this time. Introduce me to your friends?"

Janet's eyes widened. 'Crazy Squid Lady' was about right.

John, seemingly having forgotten that there were people with them, jumps a little at the small crew that's with him. "Oh, there just friends. We can just keeps their names a secret for now."

"How about I just cut to the chase? What'd you do to me?"

Cameron raised an eyebrow and wondered if he was so lucky that she'd already forgotten about him.

Val isn't going to point out she's actually one of Dru's students. She doesn't feel like drawing any more attention to herself at the moment than necessary, and if CrazyChick doesn't notice, all the better.

"No, no, no," says Drusilla, smiling at John. "You've brought guests, and it isn't a proper tea if we're not introduced." She stepped forward, and again. "But, then, I think I remember everyone. Let me see..."

OOC: Is Aeryn here? I haven't seen her post in this thread yet, but I know she was supposed to be.

"I don't want tea and they're just friends. We can call them Moe, Larry, Curlina, and Thumper," John says angrily. "That work? Can we just a raincheck on your tea?"

"Cameron Mitchell," says Drusilla softly, running black-tipped fingernails down the front of his shirt. "Brave night, coming to confront the dragon in her lair again."

He stiffens slightly, but pushes himself to not back off. "Next time I'll bring my steed and armour."

"Vala Mal Doran," says Drusilla. "Took my class. Do you think that makes you safe? You're very lucky the school is run so well. All of you are."

"I haven't met you yet," says Drusilla, delight in her voice. A new toy. She peers more closely at the girl, then reaches out a hand to run it through her hair. The girl stiffens, her face blanching a pale white and her eyes widening, but she doesn't back off, even when Drusilla starts listening.

"Janet," says Drusilla. "Healer. Have you come to heal me? It can't be done."

She leans in and whispers in his ear before moving away. "Maybe I'll devour you alive."

She taps Vala lightly on the nose and moves away with a chuckle.

Vala can't really repress the shudder, and grabs Cam's arm a bit tighter.

"I'm here for John," she says, hoping her voice doesn't shake. "Not for you."

John scoots in front of Cameron, angry. "How about you talk to me? They're here because they're my friends and I wanted them to be here."
