Third Floor Common Room, late Saturday
Tired and a little overwhelmed by her day, Angela takes her cat Min to the common room and curls up with the cat, the remote and a bag of microwave popcorn.
She could probably be convinced to share.

"Hi."

Marty attempts to pet the cat, but Min scampers over to Angela.
"Huh. Guess she knows who's the provider of all things kibble."
no subject
"Guess so," she says. "Hey, um, if you want to hang out..." she lets her voice trail off, not sure whether Marty will accept the invitation.

"What are we watching?"
no subject
You can change it if you want."
Angela looks with interest at the camera. "That's new, right?"
no subject
"Yep. Thought I'd get it for yearbook. Still trying to figure out somethings with it."
Marty points the camera at Min and snaps a photo of her stalking the popcorn and shows the image to Angela.
"Pretty neat huh?"

"I'm doing a spread in the yearbook entitled 'Seperated at Birth/Cloning Vat'."

She plays with a piece of hair. "What did you think of all the weirdness over at Mr. Phale's?"
[OOC: Check here, thanks.]

"There's something wrong with the-"
The flash goes off in Marty's face blinding him for a second.
"Gah! Nevermind."
no subject
"And ... yeah, I'm about where you are. I mean, Phale is good by definition, but the other guy ... whatever he can or can't do, it still seems like he's not on our side." Angela tilts her head to one side, thinking.
"Do you think he and Phale are, like, a couple? Because that would be weird."

"Look, if I just tell you, promise you won't decide to go start a fight with Crowley over it? Because I'm thinking high-ranking demon beats dude with a handgun."

"I know that the sex thing had nothing to do with why we broke up. I know that. I was there. But ... he still did a good job of fucking with my head."
no subject
"Yeah... well you're right. I don't like it. At all. But you couldn't pay me to go after.. whatever he is. I mean our sex life was-"
Marty gives Angela an uncomfortable look.
*coughs*
"Well... um... I mean..."
Marty looks at the TV. "That's that guy from 'From Here to Eternity', right?"
no subject
"I know. It was ... not a problem, and I hope you always know that. I think it not being true just made what he was saying hurt worse, though. If that makes any sense outside my head."
She chews on her lip.
"Not that it makes any difference now," she says, turning her attention to the TV. "And yeah, that's Montgomery Clift."
no subject
"I thought that was him. Tough to tell in a cowboy hat." Marty sits there for a moment before getting up.
"Um... I'll see you at the Zoo tomorrow, right?"
[OOC: Going to bed. We can stop unless you want to pick up here tomorrow.]

Angela winces as she waves goodbye. Shouldn't have told him, she thinks.
[OOC: Night. I think they've had enough angst for this conversation, so I'm good with ending here.]

"So. Your week been as bad as mine?"
no subject
"What went wrong for you?"

"And I completely forgot that I found out my mother and little sister are coming for Parents' weekend, without my dad. That made the week even funner."

"Damn. Must suck not having the whole bunch. My uncle and brother are coming but that's pretty much been an assumed given from the start."

She pauses for a second, thinking about her family. "My mom and I just don't get along, you know? I mean, I know she loves me and all, but ... it's typical mother-daughter stuff. I wanted to have my dad as a buffer zone, but I guess he has to work. And then my sister is 12. She's kind of a pest, but I'm worried about what might happen to her here if she started talking to the wrong person. You know, I'd like her to go back to Pittsburgh in one piece."
"What are your uncle and brother like?"
no subject
"As younger siblings. Love to hate them. Me myself I was lucky enough to be and older and a younger, it's much more fun when you're on the bugging side." Hammond and Teal'c? Hmmm...
"My uncle's pretty strict, he used to be a general in the Air Force so it'd probably be a really good thing for me if nobody mentioned anything I've ever done here. Murray though? He's a fun guy, barrels of monkey-laughs. A little too literal sometimes though..."

She yawns, stretching her arms above her head. "Your family sounds interesting, anyhow. I should go to bed soon," she says, though she stays rooted on the couch.

Angela's yawn makes Jack yawn in response. "Ah, don't do that, it's contagious." He cracks his neck and knuckles follow suit.
"Interesting's one word to describe them. I should probably get some sleep too." Jack also doesn't move after this statement. "There's just something inherently wrong about going to bed early on a Satyrday, isn't there?"
no subject
She rises, gathering Min -- who utters a squeak of protest -- and the empty popcorn bag. "See you later, Jack," she says, toddling sleepily off to room 304.
no subject
"Night." Jack grabbed the remote and switched the chanel.
