Friday Afternoon - Pyramid Practice

After leaving a couple of voicemails to Logan and Lee, Kara picks up her bag and strolls down to the gym to join Anders for their training session. He is already there, of course, and is beginning to stretch out.

She throws her bag down on a bench and crosses over to join him in warming up.

"Thrace." Anders nods to her and flashes a brief smile; he's all business, already finished with his warmups and going through a very basic rebounding drill. "Twelve days to go -- you think you're ready?"

"I know I am," Kara says, flashing him a confident smile as she stretches out her legs.

"CPL scouts'll be the judge of that," he replies, going through another twenty-five repetitions of the drill before moving on to a slightly more complicated one.

Kara switches to the other leg and watches Anders as he drills. "Worried, Samuel?" she asks.

Lee comes in and grins at Kara and Anders. "Got your message, Kara, you guys won't mind if I watch a little?"

Kara gives Lee a grin as he comes over. "Nah, we'll be fine. Logan's supposed to come down some time, too. You can sit in awe of our skills."

"Oh, I'm sure I will," he says. As he lazily sits down and crosses his arms, looking amused, he says, "Love the game." Love the player.

He shrugs and flicks his wrist, tossing the ball high into the air and watching it as it falls in a spin. "Maybe a little bit, yeah. Trying not to take anything for granted either, though."

"Ready at a second's notice, I see." Anders smirks and goes to join her. "Some people would think that doesn't reflect too well on your character. Looks good on an athlete, though. Well, most of the time."
