"No, I understand, really," Kiki says softly. "I'm not sure what I would do if my mom were just... missing, and I had no idea what happened to her." Kiki twists her fingers together in a knot.

"I'm sorry I don't know anyone else, other than the other witches here in the school, who would be capable of it, but will you let me look into it? I can ask Aziraphale at the bookstore if he'll let me read the books in the cabinet on contacting the other side, and I might be able to find something useable."

Kiki pauses. "Come to think of it, have you talked to Aziraphale? I don't know how far his powers extend, but...he has a way of knowing things. Can you come by the store tomorrow?"
