Kiki steps into the doorway, leaning a little against the doorjam. "Hi," she smiles. "How are you?"

John sits up in his bed, thankful that he'd put on pajama pants instead of just the boxers. ~~or not~~

"I'm good. Yourself? Wanna come in ~~and shut the door bauw chicka bauw bauw~~?

We should so do that. ;) How many weeks will THIS night take? :D

"HEllo?" John would normally say "Come in" but this is Fandom. Actually, John would never say that. He reaches for something under his pillow.

[Depending on how the Kiki thing goes, it might be better before. Unless you're planning on seducing John ~~as well~~]

"Bristow. Like the old dean? You're working for Dream, too? Rock. Door's open." John made a point of not inviting her in. Vampires, y'know.

"John. My mom used to be the principal. Then your da, then the current bunch. Seems like a high turnover rate. Students, too."

John slouches in the bed and kicks the wheely chair over towards the door. "So what brings you to the bad side of the dorms?" He's not smirking. Really.

"Apperantly, be the spawn of one of the higher-ups." He removes his hand from under the pillow. "At least, that's what I figure. But it's nice. Where're you at?"

He totally doesn't do the whole non-chalant 'flip the sheet over my only wearing boxers crotch' move.

"A girl named Mac? Doesn't sound familiar. Only Mac I know is the Shop guy. Crazy class. Last semester. The projects were kinda contrived. And his hair... wow."

John must be more tired than he thought. He's being downright social.

"Roommate, huh? Communal baths, I take it?" John's eyes flicked to his private bathroom. And the Muhammed Ali griller. mmmmmm... there's still half a quesadilla on the counter.

"Hey, I'll take hot showery woman on woman action any day of the week. Twice, even. I mean," he said, again looking at the bathroom, "you share the bathrooms with the whole floor. There's no privacy."

John wonderd if Sydney had a thing for 'communal baths' and figured naw, he's jsut dreaming. And then slouched some more.

"Yeah, it's a beaut. I might remodel it some more, expand the kitchen. SOmething. And I wouldn't mind action in the shower, but I'm more glad of not knowing who's hair clump is clogging the drain or playing 'guess the stain on the mirror' or whatever. Plus, planter's warts."

"I just wish the dorm was a bit bigger, for more stuff." He sits back up a bit.

"I've been signed up for: Intermediate Math, Arthurian Traditions, Human Resources Management, Intro to Western Lit, and Classics 201. I'm TA in Classics. I wanted Tactics of War, but I was not here that weekend, y'know. So I'm looking for a class to drop to take that, and I'm torn."

He grabs a pillow and stuffs it behind the small of his back to ease the kink and cramping. ~~the sheet may or may not have moved~~

"I can't drop Classics, since the whole TA thing. And HR should be useful later in life. Arthur stuff and Western Lit are a bit iffy, and I'm not sure if I need a math class to pass, but... yeah. You?"

"Oooh, independant study. How's that work? You went Indy on War?"

Wow. Sounds like this is the type of gal who's always on her own side first. John chalks that up for later.

John smiles back. This Sydney gal sounds like she could be a lot of fun. To hang out with. Totally.

"YEah, I'm not sure if the TA thing counts as a class. I'm pretty sure. Which means I have to drop Lit, Math, or Ye Olde Arthur to take it. Kinda bummed. Suggestions?"

"So how're your classes so far?" John adjusts the pillow some more. ~~not saying anything about the sheet, cuz.. yeah~~

"Bomb outta a bikini? THis I gotta see." Totally doesn't check her out to see if she's bikini-clad.

John sat up, putting a hand on each knee. OMG SHEET

"I was thinking it would fulfill a requriement or two, but I just need to know troops and such. And I've done enough coding that I've got a good grasp, but still. Theoretical stuff is always good."

"Sure," Kiki answers, stepping in, trying to be nonchalant. She'd never been in a boy's room before; she leaves the door open. "Just wondering how things are going with you."

[Heh, Kiki's soooooo not ready for teh pr0n music, esp. as she hasn't been around Crowley lately - besides, according the the radio, she's destined to be pr0n0-y with Yuffie, hah!]

"Things are fine with me, I guess. Just the whole classes thing. Bit overwhelmed, y'know?"

John sits up a bit in the bed, hit the mute button, and tossed the remote on his pillow.

"How's things for you?"

"REally?" John sat up and curled one leg. ~~Sheeeeeeeet~~ "So what's your definition?"

"Great - I'm really enjoying my classes. I'm taking Magical Theory, Poetry, Anthropology, Basic Math, and I'm taking Western Lit as Independent Study."

"Changed? How so?" John leaned forward. ~~sheeeet~~

"Yeah, we should get to know each other. I'm John. Son of one of the previous principals. Spent the last 3ish years in Mexico, Latin/South America and all. It's my second semester here, and this place is completely crazy. I heard that this Dream guy turned last semester's class into cats. Swear." He nods.

"Magical Theory? I wanted in on that. And I think I'm in Western Lit. Everything's so new I gotta check my schedule like every 5 minutes."

He turns on one side and grabs a notebook off the foot of the bed. sheet! "Yeah, Western Lit. Cool."

[Heh. Are you planning THIS conversation to be as racy? bwahahaha]

John draws his knees up and puts his arms around them. The sheet moves with him... barely.

"This sounds like storytime. Should I make popcorn? I promise not to turn into a cat."

"Bed's big enough for two. It is only a twin, though," he says as he gets up, rifles through his supplies, and starts microwaving popcorn. "I've thought about building a bigger one, but I don't want everything to be all crammed."

He turned around, standing behind the chair. He leaned on it, a gleam in his eye. "What's your opinion of lofts? I bet I could make 'em here and sell 'em. There's some old wood in the Shop, and I know I'd love to have a bigger room... and that's one way to do it."

He's half lost in thought, gesturing at the room and mumbling "yeah, put in a full size loft, move the desk under it. Expand the bathroom, make the kitchen bigger." He looks as if he's ready to start making blueprints when the microwave goes off.

He takes the bag out and shakes it into a large bowl. "Butter? Salt?"

John looked down. And looked at Sydney. totally.not.blushing. "Oh, sorry. It's been a bit hot in here lately. Meaning to put one of those cover things on the vent ~~besides the gremlin trap~~ but I've gotten to love the heat."

He dresses the popcorn ~~but not himself, or the pants~~ with butter and salt and plops down on the bed, the popcorn between them. "Here ya go. Butter'n salt, no pants."

"I'm used to much warmer climates. Hell, this snow thing? Freezing as cold. Sucks." John notices her not-subtle stare at his South of the Border. Hey, if she's cool with it, pantsless it is.

For some reason, John tries to think unsexy thoughts.

"Cats. Right. I wasn't in the class, but for the majority of the semester, or for at least a few classes, I think, he turned the students into cats. And they could only speak Cat. Catese. Meowish. Whatever cat-language is. I asked him about it, and he said no transformations this semester. Guess it's banned, or something."

John starts scarfing popcorn. "Mm, this is good. I've been burning it lately."

"Yeah, unfortunately I couldn't take both Magical Theory and Western Lit, because they conflict on Mondays - that's why I'm taking Lit as independent study, with Phoebe. I'm TAing poetry, though. I think I heard you were TAing...which class?"
