Outside of the Dorms, Sat. Afternoon

Edward was amusing himself by gluing quarters to the sidewalk outside the dorm. However, he quickly ran out of spare change and, when bored with that, started idly kicking around the soccer ball.

Sakura happened by, rummaging through her bag and paused.

"...Ed, what are you doing?"

"Kicking around a soccer ball, what's it look like I'm doing?" Edward bounces the ball on one foot.

She eyes the scattered quarters. "...and trying to sucker someone into trying to peel that off the ground?" she muses. "Since when do you play soccer?"

"Brother!" Alphonse called out, catching up with Edward. He saw him come outside not long ago and thought it'd be another good time to bother hang with him. "Hey! You're finally outside."

Edward tries to look innocent. "Peel what off the ground?" He continues to bounce the ball idly. "And, I dunno. Since I found the ball and started kicking it around?"

"Hey Al!" Edward waved with a grin, then kicked the soccer ball at Al. "Catch!"

She rolls her eyes a bit. "Hmm."

Alphonse caught the ball flying at him, curiously looking at it. "I didn't think you'd be interested in playing sports." He let go of the ball to fall on the ground, rolling it around in circles with his foot. "We never did play them much."

Sakura waves a little. "Hallo, Alphonse-kun."

Edward shrugged at him. "Good way to get the excess energy out, around here. And it's a nice day, I wanted to be outside."

"Oh, hi! I haven't seen you in a while, either!" Alphonse was still rolling the soccer ball around with his foot, then opted to trying to balance the thing on his foot; it wouldn't stay on for any more than three seconds, but he kept on trying anyway.

She folds her arms over her chest, trying not to laugh at his face.

Sakura smiled, and waved again. "Unfortunately I've got at least one class every day this semester, so I don't get out much until the weekends." She scowled just a bit.

"I've only got one class a day, though I still manage to get out a little," Alphonse gave up on trying to balance the soccer ball. Instead, he lightly kicked it in Sakura's general direction. "Here, you catch!"

Sakura went to smile, then yelped, startled. Quickly shouldering her bag again, she hopped to the side a bit to catch the ball between her hands.

"The ball isn't going to bite you, Sakura," he laughed.

She puffed up her cheeks at him. "Oh, hush. You startled me with it." She let it drop from her hands and caught it with a knee, managing to bounce it twice before it slid off to the side. She frowned at it. "Jeez, I haven't had a soccer ball at my disposal since the school fairs at Tomoeda..." She took her bag off her shoulder and tossed it, watching it land just off the sidewalk in the grass. She slid one foot under the ball and kicked it into the air, bouncing it once on her head before headbutting it in Ed's direction. "Heads up, Ed!"

Edward jumped back a few steps, missing the ball but chasing it down before it got too far. He dribbled it for a second before kicking it back towards Sakura. "I didn't know you played soccer, Sakura!"

Sakura grinned. She hadn't had a chance to do much of anything athletic in ages... She caught the ball with her hip, and it bounced back to the ground. "I don't," she said. "I just like sports." She turned to Al. "C'mon, Alphonse-kun! Get in here!" She kicked it around a little at her feet, then reached down and picked it up, punting it at the younger boy.

Alphonse was impressed with Sakura's soccer skills. Seeing the ball coming towards him again, be backed up a little to catch it correctly.

"Omph! Ow..." Alphonse rubbed the top of his head where the ball landed. "This thing's pretty tough for a ball..."

He took hold of the ball with his foot, kicking it in Edward's direction. "Here!"

This time Edward fielded the ball with little difficulty, catching it with one foot and dribbling it back and forth before giving it a strong kick towards Sakura. He hadn't really kicked the ball around with people before, this was fun.

She caught the ball with her hip again, winced, and passed Ed a look. "Jeez, you tryin' to kill me? Don't kick it with your metal leg, you'll break something!" She laughed, and passed the ball back to Alphonse.

"Sorry!" Edward called sheepishly.

She stuck her tongue out at him, still laughing. "No you're not. Don't worry about it!"

Laughing, he added to Sakura's comment, "Don't use your automail to your advantage, Brother!"

This time, Alphonse made sure the ball wouldn't attack his head, and adjusted himself accordingly. He caught the ball akwardly with his chest, causing the ball to bounce off at an odd angle. He mumbled a bit while he caught up with the ball, then followed the pattern they had been using and kicked it to Edward.

Edward was so busy pouting at Al he almost missed the ball. "I am not!" he snorted, catching the ball with the inside of his left leg and kicking it back towards Sakura with the right this time.

Sakura laughed softly. At least they were getting along... sort of. She caught the ball with her thigh this time, and kicked it in the air to bounce it on her leg a few times before kicking it back to Al.

The ball fell to the ground before Alphonse was able to catch it. He stopped it from rolling with his foot and picked it up.

"You're really good with this," he commented at Sakura. "Brother and I never really played sports much back home; I'm probably pretty clumsy with this." He let go of the ball, aiming to kick it as it fell near his foot. The ball flew way off course from where Edward had been standing. "... Ack."

Edward watched the soccer ball sail over his head and solidly through a window on the second floor of the dorm. He winced at the shatter of glass.

He looked over and Sakura and pointed at the window. "I didn't do it!" he proclaimed with a laugh.

Sakura just sort of stared at the window. "...No, no you didn't. Bet that's a first," she teased.

Alphonse mimicked Sakura's expression, except probably more horrified.

"I... I... I didn't mean to!!" he cried.
