Second floor common room, anytime your little heart desires nods

The handwavey delivery service has stopped by.

The walls were already painted a nice color that shouldn't offend the males. Thanks to Zero there's some nice tan berber carpet on the floor. There are a few new sofas in the room now, along with some cushy armchairs that totally go with the room. There are coffee tables and a clock on the wall and huge pillows to match the walls. And let's not forget the TV Marty donated. Which will probably be all that anyone looks at.

Decorations can wait until next week. Welcome to your new common room, boys and girls. Second floor RULES.

[OOC: Yes, I did pick out fabrics for stuff. For instance, you've got a reddish color for your pillows, not zebra striped. Because Quinn wouldn't let you do that.]

Marty walked into the room amazed by its transformation.

He promptly turned on the TV and started watching "The Amazing Adventures of Bitterwoman".

Vala walks in slowly, wrapped from head to foot like a eskimo mummy, brushing snow off her shoulder and arguing with Cam.

"Oh, come on? Just for a little while? I promise I won't move, I just want to see some people, o.k.?"

She might be whining a little bit.

"You need to be resting," Cameron fussed, he was actually more worried about Vala that he didn't even notice the new furniture. "I highly doubt you're not going to move in here."

She let him settle her into a corner of the nice new couch. "I promise I'll be good and stay still, o.k.? You can sit right here and make sure no one jostles me or anything, really!"

"Like I got a choice," he grumbled and take off her coat. It's only then that he realised they actually had a couch and for the first time looked around the room. "Wow, someone went full out."

"Yeah," she said looking around. "This is almost weirder than the snow. And they said the chef was missing?"

She frowned. "I'm away two days and ~~everyone gets delusions of grandeur~~ this place goes all weird? I mean weird even for Fandom High?"

"Snow in january is hardly weird up here," Cameron replied and tossed both their coats on a chair and squatted beside Vala. "Now are you sure you wouldn't be more comfortable in bed?"

"Does it usually come on this fast? I don't remember it even being all that cold the other night when...," she stopped, winced... and then shrugged. "I guess I'm just from a much warmer ~~planet~~ sort of place."

~~(zomg I have no idea if Marty's still sitting there to hear that or not... whoops! ;)~~

"So am I. Weather's just weird like that," he shrugged and tries not to think about the unfinished sentence as his mood from this morning wasn't entirely over. "Do you want me to get you something?"

"Uh, they said no alcohol while I'm on the pain meds, but maybe some hot chocolate or something?" She looked up, flashing puppy-eyes at him.

Hoping that Vala had been discharged, Isabel took a walk down to the second floor. She stopped in the common room, surprised that the furniture has been replaced so quickly and then pleased to see Vala there.

"Sure," Cameron got up and quickly kissed her forehead before moving into the kitchen to make some hot chocolate. "With or without whipped cream?"

"With," she said smiling. "Thanks!"

"Hey, Isabel!" Vala smiled seeing her. "You're o.k., right?"

"Yo," Cameron greeted. "Want some hot cocoa?" He asked as he was in the process of making Vala's.

"Hot chocolate would be great. Definitely have the right weather for it," she said to Cam.

Taking a seat across from Vala, Isabel asked, "How are you feeling? Are you sure you should be up?"

"Oh, don't you start too," Vala rolled her eyes. "Cam wants to wrap me in cotton and tuck me away in bed for a week." Her words might be annoyed, but her tone was fond and she was smiling.

"Vala, you got stabbed. There was blood. Lots of it. And broken bones," she added after seeing the cast. "You should rest. And be waited on." She grinned at Cam. "Although I don't think that's going to be a problem."

"I don't even get paid," Cameron remarked, trying hard not to hear what Izzy just said. He put whipped cream on Vala's hot chocolate and put the can in his back pocket. He handed them both their cups and then sat down beside Vala, belatedly realising he still had the can in his pocket. Jumping up, he pulled it out and sat down. Half listening to the girls talk, he tilted his head back and squirted some cream right into his mouth.

Vala snickered at Cam's little whipped cream trick, then turned back to Isabel. "Yeah, but I'm going to be o.k. They tell me as long as I take it easy for a while, rest up, don't do anything interesting," she might have been starting to pout, "Be a good girl and don't pull any stitches, I'll be just fine."

Isabel sipped at her hot chocolate. "That's good. I'm sorry I didn't make it by the clinic. I really, really, really don't like doctors and hospital-like places all that much."

She winced in sympathy. "Yeah, I'm not all that fond of them either. But they're really pretty good here. It's good to know with, you know, all the things going on in town."

"You mean the things like zombies, demons and vamp..." her voice trailed off. "Yeah, good to know."

"Yeah, like that...." She looked over at Cam, wondering if he'd ever let her out of his sight again.

Cameron currently had whipped cream on his nose.
