2nd Floor Common Room, Tuesday Evening

Cally has hijacked the big TV in the 2nd floor common room. She has a DVD of "The Great Escape" playing while she builds a little lego prison camp on the floor.

Angela pops her head in the door of the common room and follows it with the rest of her. "Hey, Cally. What are you building?"

"I need a place to keep all the Lego prisoners of war!" Cally grins and waves from her spot on the floor. "Temporarily, at least. They're gonna break out. Like in the movie."

Angela blinks. "Okay," she says "That makes sense, I guess. I mean, you kind of can't have prisoners of war without prison."

Then, grinning, "I haven't seen Legos in forever. Can I help?"

Knowing full well that the third floor common room was TOO AWESOME for people to last in for very long, Peter wandered down to the vastly inferior second floor CR.

"Hey, Cally," he said. "Legos. Very cool."

"Please? Otherwise I'm not even gonna have the cabins finished by the time Donald Pleasance goes blind." Cally smiles. "This movie is so awesome, even with pointy corners."

Cally clears a spot next to her and pats it. "So, come, sit, build."

"Hey Peter," Cally says with a wave. "Come, watch, maybe put together some little Lego Germans?"

Peter looked at the TV. "Ah, okay. Sure. Sounds like fun."

Peter sat down by the Legos and asked, "Do you have your Steve McQueen set up yet?"

Cally giggles. "The Cooler King currently is not in Lego form. In fact, we don't even have a cooler for him." So, pull up some floor, and grab yourself some bricks."

Angela sat in the indicated space on the floor and begun construction work on a cabin. Absently, she asked, "I haven't seen it before. Pointy corners?"

"Well, technically, all the movies here have pointy corners. And the TV shows. And the paper. It's kinda weird." Cally shrugs and goes about putting together the little guard towers with machine gunners.

"Sounds good. Except that I've never actually seen the movie, so I didn't know he was called the Cooler King." Peter shrugged as he grabbed some bricks. "But I know prison, McQueen, motorcycle."

"Well then I won't spoil anything else. I totally said nothing about Donald Pleasance and blindness." Cally nods and smiles. "So, how're classes going?"

"I know nothing of Donald Pleasance. I know he's an actor, but I couldn't pick him out of a lineup. I'm spoiler-safe." Peter started to put the blocks away. He wasn't sure what he was making, but it was definitely going to be a building of some sort.

"Classes are okay. Professor Skeeter is a bit insane, but my other classes have been great. Grissom and Lyman are both fun. How about you? What's up in the world of Cally?"

"Oh. So in the colonies, everything is round? That's kind of different," Angela says.

She is now fixing a roof for the half-constructed cabin.

"Hey Cally," Callisto wandered into the common room. "What you doing?"

Vala wanders in after history class. "What is it with you people and these 'leggos' anyway," she asks.

"Hey, I got Grissom and Lyman, too. Guess we must be in different classes of theirs, though," Cally says. "And, other than them, I have Macleod for gym, and that's kinda low-key, and Doctor Oliver is cool too. Erm, otherwise, Cally's world is studying, eating, and Anders."

"Well, not round, but... kinda cut corners? Like... octagonal?" Cally shrugs. "Don't ask me, it's what they do. It's what I was raised with."

"Watching a movie and apparently attempting to recreate in Lego with Peter and Angela's help," Cally says, smiling. "You know, like you do."

"They're fun!" Cally says and waves. "You should join us. Or at the very least, watch the movie with us."

"Mind if I join in?" Callisto sat down on the floor. "I need some entertainment after today."

"O.K.," she says, slipping down onto the floor with her back against the couch, eyeing the little bricks. "So what's the movie and what's the project?"

She fits tywo more legos together. "So how are you, in general?"

Girlfriends are slippery things and somehow Cam lost track of his on the way back from class. His radar seems to work though and he ends up in the totally awesome 2nd floor common room. "Yo!"
