Pip grunted as he counted off the last push-up. Vernoica was supposed to be coming by soon. Unless he was getting the time wrong. He couldn't quite remember.

Maybe he should invest in some post-it notes.

After a busy morning of visitors, phone calls and class, Veronica had lunch and made her way to the gym for her first self defense lesson with Pip.

"Hey, sorry if I'm late," she apologized as she entered the gym.
