Fifth Floor common room, Sunday night

Pip has hooked his PS2 up to the TV common room and has decided to go all old school with a copy of ~~Insert meta name of Final Fantasy~~ 7.

Hopefully, no one else wants to use the TV. He does have a copy of Spirit Calibur 3, if anyone wants to play.

Blair pops in after I-Club and grins at Pip. "Hey man! Look! I'm all sneaky!" He turned and showed off the large black shirt he was wearing. "I'm pratically a ninja in this outfit." ~~if you ignore the bouncing, loud talking and bright sandals~~

Pip nods approvingly. "I would totally have never seen you if you hadn't told me you were here. You're like a katana and some throwing stars away from full ninja-hood."

Blair bounced and grinned. "Cool. Do you think there's like a peace ninja? One who doesn't use so many throwing stars?"

Pip pauses in the middle of fighting a behmoth and appears to think. "Well, sure. You throw super balls intstead of throwing stars?"

"Oh!" Blair bounces forward and takes a seat on the floor. "I could even leave messages for my victims. 'Use Canvas Bags for Groceries' 'Hugs not Drugs' or the classic 'Make Love not War'."

"Yeah," Pip said. "But it could be really stealthy. Like people look away for one minute and they turn around and you've put the message up." He tilted his head ot the side slightly. "Why are you dressed up as a ninja anyway?"

Blair nodded and waved his hands a bit. "Yeah...stealthy!"

He paused and leaned forward a bit. "Um...if I tell you something can you promise not to offer to go and have a talk with someone for me?"

Pip raised an eyebrow. "Er... sure? Is it going to be something likely to make me offer to go and have a talk with someone?"

"I don't know, man. You're a pretty cool guy and the people who I've told seem to want to go have a talk."

"Ahhh. One of those. Well, it appears to be bothering you, so I promise I won't go offer to have a talk with someone."

"See, I'm spreading peace already!" Blair bounced and then settled down, speaking quietly.

"So you know my whole Molly and Nadia problem? Well it's sorta solved now. But before it got solved Cam came over and...had a talk with me." Blair scrunched a little where he was sitting. "And not 'lets have tea and discuss this like gentlemen' sort of talk either."

Pip lit a cigarette, letting his hand and lighter conceal his expression. "He yelled at you, I take it?"

"Yelled." Blair nodded. "Threatened. Grabbed my hand."

"I'm a short little anthrogeek. Becoming a ninja might help the next time someone bigger wants to 'talk'."

Pip took a drag on his cigarette and frowned. "I shouldn't have promised. Why did he want to "talk" with you? I assume either Molly or Nadia talked to him." He looked up at the ceiling for a moment. "Do you want me to teach you how to defend yourself, man?"

"But you did. No talking allowed!"

"Molly went and talked to him and I totally can understand why he came to me. She was hurt and he was just looking out for her. I actually got a lot of those talks this week." Blair raised his eyebrows at Pip. "I don't really approve of the angry violent I'm-gonna-kick-your-ass' part...but it's all born out of love, right?"

Pip sighed. "Somehow I'm not entirely suprised this this happened. And yes, it's only because we care about or are concerned about you, Nadia, and Molly." He took another drag on his cigarette. "I get where Cam and everyone else is coming from, though I don't think what they did probably di a lot of good." He looked at Blair. "Do you want me to teach you how to defend yourself? I know you're a pacifist, so none of the actual hurting people stuff. Just enough so that you don't get hurt yourself."

Blair grinned. "That's really good of you to offer man, but Angel's going to show me on Wednesday how to defend myself enough to run away."

"Although I don't know what happens when someone bigger is blocking my dorm room door." He paused and then added, "and my roommate is hiding in the closet."

Pip nodded. "Well, as much as I hate to say it, Blair, sometimes you get cornered like that and there really isn't a non-violent solution. If someone comes intending to do you violence and traps you... well, your options become limited."

Blair flopped backwards on the floor and stared at the ceiling. "Helpful messages from the PeaceNinja aren't going to work then, are they Pip?"

"Is there anyway to fight back that doesn't involve a lot of punching and grunting?"

Pip grinned. "Probably not. But anthing's worth a try." He scratched his head. "Sure. There's a couple of martial arts that emphasize non-violence. Aikido is the only name I can come up with off the top of my head, but it's mostly about reacting to the opponent and putting them off balance or putting them in locks. Nothing that actually hurts them, just keeps them from hurting you."

Blair stared at Pip oddly. "Do you know Cam? He's all..." Blair held his arms out widely, "and I'm all..." He held his hand a few inches apart.

"What about that thing in movies where they knock over a gumball machine and the big guy runs in places for a bit and falls down?"

Pip nodded. "Yeah, I know Cam. I've actually sparred with him before. He's a nice guy, in general. I'm sure he was just thinking of Molly." He tapped his cigarette ash into an ash tray. "Well, in the movies they can also knock out a guy with one karate chop, a move I have yet to learn. If you're talking about using the environment or things around you to your advantage, well that's something else."

"Yes! I've worked pretty hard to save the environment! It's about time it's started helping me!"

Pip laughed. "Well, that's not so much a martial art as it is a state of mind. Way of looking at things, seeing what's there and ways they could be used. I mean, there's some basic stuff, like learning to throw or learning to use stuff to block, like chairs, but a lot of it's up here," Pip said, tapping his head.

Blair nodded and sat up. "That's good. I've got a lot of brain. I'm just a little short on the brawn department." He shrugged. "Or just a little short...whatever."

"Okay, when can we start with this environmental protection thing?"

Pip shrugged. "I'm not doing anything tomorrow, if you're not going to DC? Otherwise... I dunno. What's your schedule look like?"

"Sorry, I'm going to DC. Tuesday I've only got class during 5th period. Wednesday I'm meeting with Angel and have class. Thursday I have class during 3rd and 5th period and Friday I'm free." Blair took a deep breath and grinned. "What's good for you?"

Pip shrugged. "How about Friday? I've only got one class and it's way late in the day."

"Cool. Friday it is! Should we meet somewhere were there's a lot of things to throw and stuff? Or should I just bring my own?"
