5th floor common room: [2/23] - evening

Once again, Pippi is here with her script for Midsummer Night's Dream.

Dispite spending much of the day listening to the Ramones, she's still got songs by Butler Fetish stuck in her head...

It's Monkey Brain Soup!
In the Cantonese cuisine
It's quite popular.

Elsewhere? Not so much.
But most Cantonese people
Will go "Yum yum yum!"

Washington DC
Those cats, they don't eat much soup
Made from Monkey's Brain!

It's Monkey Brain Soup!
In the Cantonese cuisine
It's quite popular.

The taurine is full
Tender cubes of Monkey Brain
Floating placidly

Perfectly seasoned
Monkey Brain Soup is the best.
An exotic treat!

Walter wanders in, having decided to poll his friends about any odd new abilities.

"Hi. You're looking far too studious for a Friday night."

[ooc: I picked up Midsummer's Night Dream comic book today! ]

Walter spun around looking for some sneaking danger that would make Pippi look like that, but there was nothing. He turned back around and looked at Pippi to make sure she wasn't choking or having a seizure or something equally not good.

"What's wrong?"

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"Pippi?" Walter came a little closer and looked at her with concern.

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"What? Do you need some help?"

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Walter's eyes widened. But this was Pippi - he wasn't sure this actually counted as an odd new power, or was just part of the usual Pippi experience.

"Bless you." He went and eyed the pencils where they were stuck in the wall, but the fact that they were a bit... wet dissuaded him from trying to pull them out.

"Was that a normal sneeze?"

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
"They're all yours," Walter said, flopping down in a chair.

"Odd day. Do you know anyone who has been showing weird new powers? It seems to be going around like a flu."

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"The sparkles did?" Walter took his rings off and tucked them in his waistcoat pocket before leaning over to grab a trashcan and put it on the floor in front of himself.

"I wish the spaghetti would. I had to clean it up in my room." Walter then flicked his fingers as though he were trying to cut the bottom out of the can. Instead, unsurprisingly, streams of spaghetti flew out of his fingers into a lump in the bottom of the can.

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Walter blinked.

"Um... now that I'm thinking about it... where were those pencils before you sneezed?"

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
"Huh." Walter shook his head and began flicking his fingers at the wastebasket, trying to turn off his sudden spaghetti flinging powers.

All that came of it was a full wastebasket.

Pippi's problem couldn't be what he was thinking, could it?

"I wonder if I can control it enough to get other kinds of pasta," Walter muttered as he debated what to do with all the spaghetti he'd just created.

He looked up at the sniff, wondering if he was going to need to dodge another of her explosive sneezes.

[identity profile] walter-n-wires.livejournal.com 2006-02-25 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Walter looked down at the wastebasket. "I could make the world fat and unhealthy, at least. I haven't been able to do it for long, but so far it hasn't made me tired."

He grimaced at one thing he'd tried, though. "Wearing gloves doesn't turn the power off, either."

Walter turned around and looked at her quizzically. "Are you trying some amateur magician tricks? Because I've seen Gob work, and he might get jealous."
