Third Floor Common Room, early afternoon

Walter took advantage of Victor modded with permission - I've got the power! leaving to get them some food to OMGOuch! put on a pajama shirt and shuffle himself out to the common room with Pup to get some studying done. The little bottle of Granny Weatherwax's green apple-y smelling potion is in his pocket, and he may have had something a bit larger than a small sip of it just before trying to get dressed.

He's studying for Creature Languages and Sociology of the Paranormal, both of which are made more than a bit surreal after the potion starts to work.

Pippi is walking around digging on this amazing air. And wanders herself right into the Third Floor Common Room.

"Walter."

"Pippi," Walter looks up from the page that wasn't really swirling around, was it?

"How are you feeling?"

To say Victor was worried was an understatement. He had come back from the NPC market with a couple bags of food, only to find his boyfriend missing from their his room. He couldn't have gotten too far, though, since Pup was gone, too.

He looked out the window, but didn't see either of them on the school grounds, so he tried the hallway. Maybe he'd gone back to his room for something. On the way, he heard a familiar noise coming from the common room. Pup? he thought, and let out his breath as he walked in and saw Walter and his pet sitting there.

"You know, you're really stubborn," Victor scolded, setting the bags on a table.

"I didn't go far," Walter said, trying not to feel like he'd just been caught breaking the cookie jar after nicking cookies from it.

It figured that once Nadia was actually allowed to sleep, she couldn't. The painkillers that Dr. Troy had subscribed hadn't quite taken effect yet. She wandered slowly around the dorms looking for something to take her mind off the fact that she ached all over. Spotting people in the third floor common room, she decided to stop in for a bit. "Hi Walter, Pippi, Victor,"

"Nadia, Victor, Walter." Said Pippi, who had already greeted Walter.

"The Danger Shop Survivors Club meeting doesn't have quite enough members present to call this meeting to order," Walter said with the slow deliberation of someone trying not to slur his words.

"How is everyone doing today?"

"Floaty." she answered flopping down on the couch.

Nadia shrugged. "My head still hurts, but thinking is slightly easier." She blushed slightly. "Um, thanks for helping me yesterday." She looked at Pippi and Walter. "Both of you. Sorry I was kind of mean about it."

"You're welcome." Said Pippi looking just slightly over Nadia's shoulder.

Walter can't remember the clinic particularly clearly. Yay shock. "Pippi, did you get someone to have a look at your head?"

"Ja, Granny said I would be fine. She's nice."

Nadia made a face. "She made me shake a stick. The doctor I saw today didn't seem to think that was very good. He gave me painkillers." She glanced from Walter to Pippi. It seemed as though, in an amusing twist of fate, she was now the one who was thinking remotely clearly. Fun.

"She bandaged up my back quite well," or at least he thought she had. "And she gave me this," he fished the little bottle out of his pocket and looked at it. "It works and tastes better than most medicines I've had to take." Not counting the brownies, since they'd been voluntary and not precisely medicinal.

"That," Nadia said with conviction. "Is not fair."

"Maybe you're alergic to it Nadia..." Offered Pippi, who recently discovered that being alergic to something sucked pretty much like robots.

Nadia considered this. "How would she know? I only met her yesterday."

Heyyyyy, she was pretty sure her painkillers were starting to kick in now. Her head wasn't nearly as enthusiastic about exploding any more.

"I dunno, I'm not a Doctor."

"Technically, neither is Mistress Weatherwax," Walter said. "But she seemed to know what she was doing." He frowned. "Except for that stick thing... That was just odd."

Nadia looked at Walter a little bit as though she'd never actually seen him before. "You're very British, aren't you." She rubbed at her temple a little. The ache was fading quite nicely now. Maybe she'd be able to get some sleep soon. "That was more than odd. It was mean."

The word "odd" wasn't really in Pippi's vocabulary other then that it was a word people often applied to her.

So she's trying to gain some perspective into it's meaning.

"'Odd' as in 'pasta from the fingers odd' or 'odd' as in 'killer snowmen odd'?"

"I don't think she was trying to be mean. If she was bein' mean, she'd a given you something that tasted bad or a shot... Annika always said mean doctors are always trying to give people to many shots."

"Yes, Nadia, I am very British." Walter wondered what had prompted that observation. "And it was odd, but the question is, did you stay awake last night?"

He looked at Pippi and made a confused face. "You were shot by sucky robots and you'd have a problem with a hypodermic?"

"Odd as in not a method I've seen used to deal with concussion. It reminded me of something a witch doctor would do..." Oh... wait...
