Blair pops When Harold met Sarah into the dvd player and spreads out on the floor with notebooks and popcorn.

Nadia was feeling a bit better about life in general, and being social in particular, after talking with Mac yesterday, so she decided to go in search of people. Blair chilling out alone in a common room seemed like about enough people for her right now.

"Hey," she said, quietly so as not to interrupt the movie. "What are you watching?"

Blair looked up and grinned at Nadia. "This movie about this man and woman who are friends. So far it's good. I'm just waiting for the diner scene. Wanna watch?"

Mac heads into the common room, armed with a couple of packets of veganised chocolate covered raisins, coffee and her laptop. Carrying all that isn't exactly the easiest arrangement, so she dumps most of it on the couch before actually sitting down herself.

"Blair, Nadia, he-- ohh, I remember this movie," she grins, "haven't seen it in ages though."

"Mac!" Blair waved. "Really? Did you like it? Should we watch the whole thing or fast forward it to the diner scene?"

"Sure." Nadia came in and grabbed a seat on the couch. She'd spent yesterday watching a movie and nothing bad had happened. Quite possibly the same would be true, today.

Then she recognized the movie. It took her awhile, since it had been a long time since she'd seen it, and at that time, it was on a fuzzy, black and white TV in the back room of an abandoned warehouse, and in Spanish, but she'd definitely seen this before.

Which meant . . . oh god, the diner scene.

"Um, do you know what happens in the diner scene?"

Mac nodded briefly, "yeah, its a great movie," then she smirked, "I uh, why do you particularly want the diner scene?" Opening a pack of raisins she leans over to offer Blair some.

Nadia giggled slightly. "Maybe he's trying to prepare for a special date with Molly," She giggled some more. Because there was no way that Molly or Blair would be ready for that kind of date.

Unless the fairy that had possessed Blair had been very busy backstage.

"No, but that's why I'm watching. Bel told me to rent it."

Ahhhh. Bel was involved.. That explained it. Nadia reached over to steal some popcorn, and then Mac came in.

Blair looked between the two of them. "Actually, I'm researching it as a gift for Molly's birthday. I read a magazine that said girls love the big O and Bel said this movie would show me what it meant."

It took Nadia about three seconds to figure out what "Big O" meant. Then she burst into giggles.

Because giggling was better than hitting something, or not so accidentally turning Blair into an apple tree.

"I'm sure Molly would love to get one of those,"

Mac nearly snorted half her coffee up her nose. If she's picturing Blair following Sarah's demonstation when he's at a restaurant with Molly, she keeps it to herself.

"Aaw, cute. I wouldn't have imagined that watching this movie is the best preparation for any kind of date, special or otherwise though." she grinned at Nadia holding out the raisin packet in her direction.

"Oh, no," Nadia said ironically. "It's a very romantic movie. Perfect for dating research."

The effect was ruined by the fact that she was still snickering, though.

"Their relationship seems sorta odd." Blair raised an eyebrow at Nadia's giggles. "Really, you think so?"

Mac's eyes widened, and she bit her lip in an attempt not to laugh. "Uh-huh, I bet."

Still smirking she adds, "Blair, uh, how do you intend to get one of these for Molly?"

Nadia wondered how closely Blair was following the movie, and if he'd somehow missed the "men and women can't be friends" line.

"It will give you a very interesting outlook on dating, yes."

"Oooo, good question. That'll probably require research, too."

Blair shrugged, jotting down a couple of notes while staring at the screen. "I would assume in a store or something. Unless it's something you have to order online." He looked up panicky. "Do you think I could get it for her before her birthday on Monday?"

"I'm wondering if I should be watching more television for dating research. I caught this episode of Amigos the other day and this one guy on there seemed to be doing well with girls."

"You might be able to," she replied, with a quick amused look at Nadia.

She felt a little bad about leading Blair on like this. Not badly enough to want to give him a real explaination though. She figured when the scene actually came up he would almost certainly work out it really wasn't something you could bid for on Ebay.

Finding no one in her own common room, she wandered up to the fourth floor.

Molly had nothing to do all day so she decided to see if anything was happening on any of the other floors. She heard voices coming from the fourth floor common room and decided to see what was up.

She smiled when she saw Blair and waved to the room as she walked in. "Hi, Nadia. Hi, Mac. Hi, Blair. Was Hank okay last night?"

"STEEEELLLLAAAA" Blair grinned and tossed popcorn towards her. "Come in, we're watching a movie for research!"

Blair looked up and shoved his notebooks under the popcorn bowl. "Molly! Hi! We're not doing anything important!"

He stopped and shook his head. "Um...Hank?"

"Blair!" Ivanova said cheerfully, snatching a couple pieces of popcorn out of the air and crunching them. "What are you researching?" she asked, plopping down on a convenient couch and eyeing the movie. She could do a better job than that.
