Fandom High Gym, Monday Morning

Waking early, Callisto headed down to the gym to get some excerise.

Picking up a practice sword, she started going through some basic drills.

Cameron finally made it down to the gym during third period and stopped as he noticed Callisto practicing. "Yo," he greeted.

Callisto saluted Cameron with the practice blade. "Yo."

"Fancy," he said, motioning to the blade. "How's it going?"

"Okay," Callisto replied. "Been a while since I've had a proper opponent, don't want to get rusty."

"Yeah, good idea," he nodded. "I'd offer a match, but I think Alanna was trying to tell me that I suck." He frowned.

"Alanna's probably got a few years of experience on you," Callisto shrugged. "That's why you'd suck from her point of view."

"That and the whole part where I even flunked fencing class at my old school," Cameron said sheepishly. "Have you worked out with her before?" Because girls and swords was a nice imagery.

"We've sparred once or twice," Callisto said. "Not everyone can be good with a sword, and if you're lucky you'll never even need to use one."

"At Fandom?" He raised an eyebrow. "It's been really useful during the zombie attack and the whole Darla thing. I was kinda handy with the demons last week too, it's just that I didn't actually get a chance to use it much." Yeah, that kinda bugged him. A lot.

"I did say 'if you're lucky'," Callisto pointed out with a wry grin.

"I think being alive is lucky around here sometimes," Cameron said.

"Being alive is lucky almost everywhere," Callisto said. "And you don't want to be the places it's not."

"No, I don't think I do." Cameron suppressed a shiver and quickly changed topic. "So, ready for finals?"

"As much as I can be," Callisto grinned. "But is anyone ever really ready for finals?"

"No and it feels like they've really snuck up on us this year too," Cameron finally moved over to one of the weight lifting machines. "This year went way too fast."

"You're telling me?" Callisto asked. "I'm graduating in less than a month."

"Yeah, I'm trying not to think about everyone leaving. Do you know what you're going to do yet?" He asked.

"Haven't really thought about it to tell the truth," Callisto grimaced. "Go back home I suppose."

Cameron watched her reaction and frowned. "You don't sound too eager about that."

"Doesn't matter whether, I'm eager or not," Callisto shrugged. "Not like that's that many other options open for someone like me."

"You're at Fandom where a whole lot of realities come together, I think there's a lot of options," he suggested. "Do seniors get to go to summer camp?"

"Not sure," Callisto said. "Maybe? I think."

"That's time to come up with a plan on how to keep you here?" Cameron suggested hopefully.

Anakin would never admit it, but he was a little sore from his workout with Obi-Wan on Saturday.

Thus, the gym.

He whacked away at the punching bag, carefully avoiding looking at the exercise bike.
