4th Floor Hallway - Sunday Afternoon

Mac is bored, bored and six years-old do not mix well. She's picked out the brightest coloured pens she can find, shiny things and lots of paper and has taken up residence in the fourth floor hallway.

Colouring on the paper doesn't seem to have kept her attention for very long, so she's now busy making highlighter streaks in her hair. It just seems very, very right.

Broots was tired. Broots was afraid of his own room now. Broots blinked at the girl on his floor who was now playing with her hair. "Hey sweety, what's your name?"

Charlie, who had been strangely absent for quite a while, bounded down the hallway. "HI!" he yelled.

"Hey there. Who are you?"

"I'm Major K! the best superhero in Fandom except for Mr Tick. You can call me Charlie though. It's my super sekrit identity. Are you that guy Parkie talks about all the time? Because you look like him, only bigger than I 'member."

"Hey there Charlie." Broots squated down so he was not quite so tall. "And yeah, probably. I'm Broots." He stuck out his hand for Charlie to shake.

Charlie shook his hand wildly and with a lot of energy. "What's she doing?" He pointed with his other hand at Mac.

Broots polietly pulled his hand away. "I think she's coloring her hair. Do you want to steal some markers from her and maybe draw a picture?"

"Can I color my hair??" He looked excited at the idea.

Broots blinked. "Sure you wouldn't rather color on paper?"

He didn't look too impressed. "That means I have to sit still. I'm not good at that."

"You have to sit still to color your own hair as well." Broots pointed out.

"Oh." He thought about this for a while. "Then no thanks Mr Broots. I'm just gonna run up and down here for a while." He went tearing off down the hallway, then came running back at full speed, then started back down again.

Broots wished for bottles of alcohol to come raining down from the sky at him.

When Kawalsky got bored of running around, he lunged at Broots. "You're keen, Mister!"

"Um, thanks Charlie!" Broots got ready for the impact. Strong liquor, damn it.

Charlie hugged Broots and then sat down. "What's her name?" he asked Broots about Mac.

Broots returned the hug and then squinted at Mac. "I think that's Mac. Do you know a Mac?"

Charlie nodded. "I know a Mac but he's a boy. I don't know a girl Mac. She's pretty. For a girl."

Broots sat down on the floor. "So you wanna go join her and draw a bit?"

He shrugged. "Okay!"

Charlie sat down and started drawing.

Mac finally looked up from her colouring, the girl really does have an impressive concentration span and her mun was totally asleep. heh.

"Broots! Hi!" She grinned, and waved a flourescent highlighter at him. "You want pink hair too?"
