Fourth Floor Common Room: Sunday Afternoon

After a full morning of *handwavey* weetiny activity and an afternoon nap, Lana decided to go sit on the comfy couches in the big room at the end of the hall and see if there was anything interesting on the TV.

She collected Bear and dragged her pillow down the hall with her so she could curl up on the couch. She pressed the big button on the 'mote and managed to find a funny kid's movie to watch. She sat and the couch snuggling Bear and giggled away.

Wee!Kiki, carrying her normal-sized-but-large-compared-to-her-wee-form broom, poked her head in.

"'Lo, Lana," she smiled.

"Kiki, Kiki, Kiki! Hi! Hi!" Lana stood up on the couch and waved at her friend. "Come watch TB with me!"

Bear fell off the couch then and Lana scrambled down to retrieve him, then back up onto the couch. "Ooops! Bear says hi too!"

"Hi, Bear!" Little Kiki grinned as she sat down. "TB?" she asks. "'sit a cartoon?"

"The TB, silly. Right there!" She points to the television. "Sometimes there's cartoons on it and sometimes there's funny movies!"

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, I thought that was the naaaame of the cartoon," Kiki nodded in grave comprehension. Cartoons are very serious things. "Long as'z not Radoactive Sam'rai Slugs. I don't like that one. It's icky."

"Slugs!" Lana looked appropriately horrified. "No, no icky slugs!"

"Goody," Kiki said emphatically. "I hope Little Loonies is on today, that one is the bestest! What's your fav'rite?"

"Dunno," Lana said. "It's the one with the green guy and then there's the blue guy and everyone laughs. Bear likes that one too."

"I like the one with the girl and the balloon and the puppy's tryin' to save her," Kiki answered, "But that one's good too."

"Ooh! Ooh! Yes. I love that one!" Lana handed Kiki the 'mote. "Maybe you can make it come on right. Too many buttons."

Kiki bit her lip, thinking hard. "Well, one of 'em has to work it, right?" Kiki started pressing buttons. Suddenly, with a *bzzap* of static, the set jumped to life, revealing a - blue screen.

"BOOOORRRRRRRRRIIIIINNNGGGGG," was Wee!Kiki's opinion. She started pressing more buttons.

Lana watched Kiki with rapt attention. "Wow... You are so smart. I want to be just like you when I grow up. So does Bear!"

Kiki beamed. And pressed buttons.

And more buttons.

And more buttons.

She smacked the remote on the table a few times. And pressed more buttons. "This-" she swatted it again, "silly" *smack* "thing!"

Lana watched, entranced, "No wonder I couldn't do it. It's really really hard!"

"Hrmmmmmmmmmmmm," Kiki said. "Maybe..."

She picked up her broom and, unweildy though it was, she managed to swat the tv with the bristles. Then she pressed a button.

And just like that, the channel changed!

"Wow.... Yay, Kiki!" Lana clapped her little hands together as hard as she could. "You are so good!"

"Now, the question is..." Kiki said, grinning, "Whaddaya wanna watch?"

Lana giggled. "I dunno. Something funny!"

Kiki looked back at the "TB," which was showing some talking head on Wolf News.

"Boring," Kiki opined, whacking the remote again. "More boring." *whack* "Boring." *whack* "'Nother boring." *whack* "B- Not boring. Cartoons!"
