First floor lobby, Thursday evening

John dragged his video game console out to the bigass lobby TV and hooked it up for mayhem. Since he hasn't been able to get to the gun range as much as he'd like, he's bringing the gun range to him.

With the latest Car Larceny Ring game, which is just the coolest. Up to 4 people running around, shooting Covenant stuff and stealing Warthogs cars.

Oh, look! There's 3 open controllers!

Ranma has spent a good amount of time laying around. He doesn't want to go out too often on days where water is around too much so he's been lazying about most of the day. He wanders the dorm building and finds himself in the first floor lobby hearing the sounds of something noisey. He takes a peek and sees the videogame.

He thinks a bit to himself about how he hasn't had a good chance to play even since he was young. He ambles over and sits nearby to watch before he even asks to join. He feels he'd be too rusty if he tried right now.

John manages to skiffjack a hovercar, and then use that to get the oversized ATV with the cannon in the back by flipping it and it's purple-bandanna wearing driver.

After a quick trip to the mod shop for chrome wheels and a Gauss cannon upgrade, he parks the thing in his base garage. Time for dark armor and the plaid cowboy hat.

He leaned back and noticed the kid sitting nearby. "Hey. You in?"

Surprsed he got talked to he smiles nervously.

"Well I haven't played games since I was young. The graphics got a lot better since... I don't really know how things work now."

John held up the boat anchor slash controller. "It's simple." He then went through the controls. Intricately. He does not have an evil grin.

"Basically, run around like an idiot until you figure it out. Button mashing works well. Give it a try?"

"Well if you put it that way..." He takes the controller and once the game is set up his character runs around without direction. Ranma appears to be a slow learner XD.

John watches the splitscreen with amusement for a few minutes, sniping people out of passing cars with a beam rifle.

After a few minutes, John gets an idea. "Wanna do a pizza run?" He drives a low black sinister looking car with a small turret on top and a flamed grille over to the other guy's character.

Ranma has a duh moment in his mind before he speaks, thinking at first that he meant outside. He luckily didn't say anything until he rethought and realized he meant in the game. He nods. "Sure... what do I have to do?"

Elle walked back in from Caritas and waved to the video game boys cheerfully. Bruiser had other ideas and scampered out of the bag and darted over to where they were playing.

"Bruiser!" she called.

((If such a game existed, I would explode. I mean... explode. Who needs the police armor if you get oversheild? And then spraypaint "HUNTERS SUCK" on the side of the Grunt barracks. Hydraulics on a tank. Capture the flag in gang territory where NPCs shoot back. Oh, if it existed. Or if they made a freakin' 2 player GTA with split screens. and i'll stop here before I start wishing there was Fable quests))

"Hop in the back of the car and shoot anything that moves. We get the pizza and deliver it to the Red Base other side of town while people shoot at us. It's more fun if you can shoot back."

((OOC: Hahaha sorry to make you wish for games that don't exsist XD I'm a gamer but I'm more of an RPG person. And I got my PS2 at Christmas so... I'm behind on playing these things. I DO read EGM pretty religiously though so I know about games that I don't play. It's not usless info because it helps me talk to other game people hehe))

John crashed the car into a building, reversed, and spun out trying to control it.

And promptly does a THelma and Louise off a cliff for an Insane Stunt Bonus after getting hit by a police skiff.

John looks askance at the pooch. "Nice doggie?" It's too far away to pet, and he's just got a killimanjaro from pedestrians to stop playing.

Ranma enjoys shooting things because... it's fun. He's doing the thing amateurs do where they physically move the controller in attempts at moving the analong stick.

John has progressed ages beyond that n00b behavior as he frantically chews his tongue in 16 pieces. Notice the fluid leaning into the turns that helps steer the pixels.
