Meerkat Common Room [late afternoon]

Rory lounged on the couch in the Meerkat common room, the curtains carefully drawn on the windows. She had her laptop out, and was watching her Vanessa Saturn DVDs, and if possible, her sunburn looked worse than yesterday.

Vladdie was...sulking in the corner. Which was an odd look for Vladdie, really.

Aeryn has had a really bad day. Day and a half. She's not in a good mood. So passing through, she wouldn't say anything except... "What happened to him?" she asks, nodding towards Vladdie.

"He misses the ducks," Rory shrugged. "And Sean, I think. But the ducks are more immediate."

Buffy wandered in with her new (property of the school) camera, and spotted Vladdie. "Ooooh! Puppy!"

Aeryn looks at Vladdie strangely. "...Why?" Sean she understands. Not the ducks.

Jack knocked on the common room door before poking his head inside. "Hey, Rory. Are non-Meerkats allowed in?" His eyes widened when he saw her sunburn. "And what happened to you?"

Vladdie yipped hello slightly gloomily, though most people might not noticed the change in moods since gloomy for Vladdie was still perky for most dogs.

"Buffy, this is Vladdie. He's sulking," Rory said, waving.

"Only the cool ones, so come on in," Rory grinned. "And I went out in the sun without thinking about sunscreen. Also? There's poison ivy in the woods. In case you were curious."

"They apparently bonded," she said, also looking at Vladdie. "He was very upset when I took the one from my bunk away."

Buffy knelt down, causing her wee-tiny skirt to slide up even more. She spread her arms. "Hi little doggie! HI Vladdie-boy!"

"Why thank you." Jack stepped inside and pulled the door shut behind him. "Hey, Vladdie," he said, reaching down to pat the puppy. "Very good to know about the poison ivy. You going to be okay?"

Vladdie flew over and licked her on the nose.

"I'll be fine," Rory sighed as Vladdie licked Jack's hand. "I'm just not exactly happy with nature right now. How're you?"

Buffy giggled and scritched him between the ears. Then she paused and backed up, staring at the dog. "...It flies."

Jack grinned at Vladdie. "I'm very good actually. It's been an interesting couple of days." His grin got wider and he shook his head. "There's something to be said for living in cabins. Apart from all the nature," he conceded. "What have you been up to?"

"He," Rory corrected. "He's a vampire. It's a thing."

Walter wandered in, camera in hand. So far his mission to alleviate his boredom through random picture taking was coming along nicely.

His sunburn, thankfully, didn't look nearly as painful as Rory's.

"Hi Rory. Say cheese?"

"The boys of Stickbug put ducks in our cabin," Rory shrugged. "We're seeking revenge. The usual."

"Hi Walter."

Rory smiled politely for the camera.

"Why am I doing this?" she asked through her smile

"Ducks? The Ducks-from-the-pond Ducks? You're kidding." Jack walked over to the couch and sat on the arm. "Revenge must be swift and sure. Need any help?"

"Thanks." He grabbed the polaroid to let it develop.

"I'm bored and my corkboard is empty. I'm just taking care of two problems at once." He had a look at her red face. "Alfred gave me some aloe for my burn if you don't have any."

"Vampire?" A stake appeared in her hand. (from where it had been hidden on her body.) "Evil demonic cute puppy!"

"Thanks, but Alanna gave me some kind of magic heal-y lotion," Rory said. "You should ask her about it. It was very nice. Also," she added, "there is poison ivy in the woods. In case you were curious."

"Very possibly. I have no idea what we're doing yet," Rory mused. "I think we might enlist Isabel's alien-fu and turn them all pink, but beyond that, I'm not sure."

"No!" Rory said, moving to get between them. "He's not evil or demonic. He's good."

Alec dropped in, having been wandering a bit. He also was shirtless, despite it not being that hot. "Hey! Anyone home?"
