Outside the dorms, lunchtime

Pup had gotten spoiled by their time in the cabins, with the forest nearby with all its wildlife to maim torture impale play with. He'd managed to make it clear to Walter between workshops that his person needed to take him outside and play despite the threat of rainstorms.

So there there were - a boy, his hellpuppy, and a frisbee that growled.

After her lunch of breakfasty things and talking to Tempe, Nadia wandered outside. She had to eventually get to the camp for her afternoon workshop, anyway.

She grinned at the sight of Walter and Pup. A boy and his dog. How cute.

Pippi decided to get some fresh air after her morning workshop.

"Hey there."

"Honk."

Walter tossed the frisbee well away from Nadia to send Pup racing after it as fast as his little legs would carry him.

"Cafe Fina's closed this week. I'm free."

"Hi Pippi." He grinned at the continued gosling-ness of his friend. "And Pip."

Pup trotted up to Pippi with a snarling frisbee in his mouth.

Nadia's grin grew. "Whatever will you do with yourself, then?"

Nadia blinked. "Pippi, Pip, Pup, I think we have too many Ps in our group of friends."

Walter's grinning progressed to beaming. "Oh, I don't know. With Alfred off the island, I might go wild, wear t-shirts and tennis shoes, possibly spend more time with my girlfriend."

Pup had caught the frisbee and was rolling around in the grass with it, growling back ferociously, which was actually a bit disturbing.

By now, Nadia had grown quite good and ignoring the disturbingness of Pup. "Hmmm, no threat of rulers at all? I think we can work with that,"

"The two of you make up for it." Pippi, sans cat ears and tail, grinned.

"Hi Pup! Would you like me to throw that for you?" Pippi asked reaching down without leaning over to accept the frisbee from Pup so as not to bring gosling!Pip on her shoulder any nearer to the hellpuppy.

Pup sat back on his haunches, clearly expecting the smart girl to throw the frisbee.

"How are you feeling, Pippi? I liked the ears on you before, but hats must be easier to wear this way."

The growling escalated to a battle of snarls that Walter had decided to just ignore.

"No rulers. I'm sure we can think of something, although I would appreciate it if the weather would cooperate." Hm... cooperate by making them have to stay inside somewhere together? Damn the roommates.

Pippi turned the frisbee perpendicular with the ground at her side and the flicked it out away from her. The disk growled as it floated away sliding up into the air against a warm breeze as it kicked up.

"I'm feeling good." she said, "Everything sounds weird now though."

"Hadn't Pippi been saying something about honoring the gods?"

"Had she? Does that mean a trip to the Church of Caritas or should we find some other way to do it?" Walter replayed the second half of that sentence and mentally facepalmed.

Nadia smirked. "Depends on the god, I guess."

"There are so many of them." He looked away from Nadia to roll his eyes at Pup, who was barking reproachfully at the frisbee, which was still snarling at him.

"I think we should choose one that likes to be worshipped by a couple of people in a private place with candles and dinner."

"Weird? Your regular ears aren't working properly? Or was it just that you would hear better with the cat ears?"

Pup followed the frisbee, yapping at it and executing little bouncing jumps in an attempt to catch it before an updraft caught it.

"I'm sure there are lots of gods who'd like that," Nadia said, her smile softening a bit.

The phrase "virgin sacrifice" would be running through her head, but, well, she's pretty sure neither of them are virgins.

"With Alfred out of town, the restaurant's empty when the workmen call it quits for the day." Walter ignored Pup and moved a little closer to Nadia. "We could actually have some privacy for our devotions."

"Wouldn't it be full of tools and stuff?"

Nadia thought about that, then decided that wouldn't be too bad.

"I think we can work around it." And there was always the kitchen...

"This is starting to sound like a plan." Nadia did wonder what would happen should Alfred ever find out . . . but they could just be really sneaky, couldn't they.

"I dunno I'd say that I heard better." Pippi mused while scratching Pip's neck. "Just different."

Nadia pulled out her camera again as Pup's jumping for the frisbee took him past a very conveniently modded in tree.

"I think it is sounding like a very good plan, and anything we might do there will be covered by the presence of the workmen this week." Which led inevitably to thoughts of what they could do there...
