The gym, Tuesday evening

Aeryn's feeling good as new, and if that isn't a reason to head back to the gym, then her morning really was. She's still taking it a little easy, though, sticking to the machines rather than beating the punching bag. For once.

Which is good, as it leaves the punching bag free for Tyler.

"Hi," he nods to Aeryn, and begins pummelling away.

Amazingly, hearing the radio hasn't changed Aeryn's thoughts on Tyler at all. She gives him a nod when he walks in, and greets him with a "Hey," as she starts another set.

"Long day," he said, as if in explanation.

Then he tried to hit the bag with his eyes closed. His accuracy's pretty good.

"Yeah," she agrees, and once her set's done, she pauses to watch him. "Not bad," she tells him.

"Mine wasn't either. Somehow," Tyler said, a little surprised. "Not every day your life story makes the morning news."

"Yes, heard that," she admits, lowering the weights.

"So far nobody seems to care," Tyler said, and frowned.

"You did end up in the clinic after the common room," she reminds him. "Besides, it's Fandom."

"Ah," Tyler said. "So, not a huge surprise, plus I'm still boring by Fandom standards?"

That idea didn't seem to make him any happier.

"A lot of us have a history," she explains. "It makes it easier to accept others'."

"Then I picked a good place to run to," Tyler said, almost to himself.

She grabs the handles on the machine to start another set. "Some people might have a problem with it. I couldn't tell you who they would be."

"They'll find me, if they want," Tyler shrugged. "I can't worry about that."

He finished punching the bag and went into a hundred situps on a bench, grunting through them.

Aeryn watches for a while, not sure what reaction she would have expected from him about this, but thinking this isn't it. She shrugs a little, and on the next set, increases the weight a little.

Callisto wandered into the gym. She grinned when she saw Aeryn, it was not a very nice grin. "Evening, Aeryn."

Frell.

"Hi," Aeryn greets her.

"I haven't seen you in days." Callisto said, stalking towards her. "How have you been Aeryn?"

"It's been a very long week," she answers honestly.

"I can imagine," Callisto said. "So long that you might have forgotten things you were planning on doing even."

"I didn't see you on Saturday," Aeryn says, not mentioning that Anakin brought popcorn for that show.

"Just because I'm the coach doesn't mean I have to turn up for matches," Callisto shrugged. "Although speaking of not seeing people, I don't recall seeing you on Sunday."

"There was no game, I was in Washington and was suffering from heat delirium at the time," she answers. And while it's true, Aeryn knows Callisto isn't going to be satisfied with I could have died on Sunday and that kept me from cheering as a valid reason.

"Here's the thing Aeryn," Callisto said. "You said you were going to cheer on Sunday, were quite insistent on it. And then you didn't. That makes me sad."

"If I had seen you on Saturday, I would have," she says evenly. Not mentioning that the skirt might have been cooler anyway.
