Dean led the way into the Common Room with the bags of supplies he and Alec had handwavily bought in town.

"So," Dean said, putting the bags down on the kitchen counter. "Ready for your next lesson in junk food appreciation?"

Buffy wandered in carrying a copy of Cosmo with her. "Hi guys!"

"Hey Buffy," Dean said, sorting out the things they needed and the things that were just to eat as is.

Buffy watched the boys' junk food haul being sorted. "What are you doing?"

"Teaching Alec about some of the final things in life," Dean replied, gesturing at their haul. "Namely junk food."

"Ready and willing to learn," Alec said, grinning. "Especially with food at the end of it. You can actually cook, right?"

Dean gave him a Look. "Of course I can cook. I've been cooking simple things since I was 8 or so and Dad used to leave Sammy and me alone to go on hunts." He grinned. "Master of the hotplate and microwave in seedy motels - that's me."

"Yo!" Alec greeted brightly.

"Ahh." Buffy nodded in approval, before sitting down on a chair and watching. After all, she didn't have anything better to do.

"Hey," Buffy waved. "How is?"

Alec's grin dimmed not at all. "Hey, when junk food is at stake, I just feel I should make sure."

"Dean's making me food," Alec said, grinning. "He thinks I've been deprived, and I'm not complaining if it means I get to try new things that are tasty."

Buffy grinned. "I'm shocked. I would never have suspected you liked new things that are tasty."

"At least you're learning the proper priorities," Dean said approvingly, then pulled the ingredients he needed for the current project out of the pile of stuff, pausing long enough to put the ice cream in the freezer for them to use and eat later.

"Lesson the first in making your own junkfood," he intoned seriously. "One of the simplest recipes out there. It's practically fool proof." He paused. "Rice krispie treat."

Alec snickered. "Then you haven't been paying attention," he scolded her, teasing.

Alphonse wandered in with a book in hand, expecting the common room to be empty, but instead happened to find people.

"'lo," he greeted.

Alec nodded, looking as serious as Dean sounded. "Okay. What the hell is it?"

"It must have escaped my notice somehow," Buffy nodded. "But I'll be sure to remember it now!" She flipped her magazine open. "You ready to cheer tomorrow?"

"Yo!" Alec waved. "Hey, you're in Wilderness, right?"

"Basically it's rice krispies," he gestured at the box of cereal, "covered in and held together by melted marshmallows. Which are basically all sugar." Dean paused. "You've had marshmallows, right?"

"Hey," Dean said to the new kid.

"Nah," Alec said, shrugging. "But I'll deal."

"They're in 'smores," Alec said, nodding again. "Sweet and chewy. I dig 'em."

"Oh!" It finally dawned on Alphonse that he was in that workshop, too. "That's right. I don't think I ever caught your name."

She looked up, eyes wide. "You're not ready? How can you not be ready to cheer?"

"That's a lot of food you got there," Alphonse observed. "Something going on?"
