Camp gym, morning

Cameron was grateful for the airconditioning inside the gym or he wouldn't feel much like moving at all. At least it was still a bit cooler in the morning. There was a styrofoam cup from the Perk standing to the side of the mats and beside was a brown paper bag from J,GOBs, just waiting for Veronica to show up.

Veronica showed up, looking mightily confused over last night's radio broadcast.

"Hey," she waved at Cameron distractedly.

"Yo! Yo!" Cameron greeted as he was still catching up on his yos from the weekend. "What's up?"

"I'm confused," Veronica admitted. "How are you?"

"I am fine," he blinked. "What are you confused about?"

"Radio said something about Nadia leaving Fandom," Veronica explained. "I need to go find her."

"Oh," Cameron frowned but couldn't really comment as he didn't know Nadia all that much. "If you'd rather go do that..." He offered.

"I'm pretty sure she's not awake yet," she said. "I'll find her when we're done."

"Okay," he nodded and got up from the machine he had been working out on before Veronica came in. "It might just be that radio got it wrong. It wouldn't be the first time."

"That's true," Veronica admitted. But the in the back of her mind, she was remembering a conversation she and Nadia had had not that long ago.

She stifled a yawn. "Okay, so blocking kicks today?"

"Yep," he tilted his head, suppressing a grin as he noticed her yawn. "I got you coffee," he motioned to where he had left the cup.

Veronica smiled. "My hero," she said, picking up the cup and taking a long drink.

"Oh, hey, so, did you get that straightened out yet?"

"My state of herodom?" he asked, probably being dense on purpose.

"That confusion or whatever with Molly," Veronica said, noticing the bag sitting next to the coffee. "Hey, what's this?" she held it up.

"Breakfast if you do well today," Cameron replied and bend down to take off his shoes. "Sort of? I don't know. She brought me cookies yesterday and things seemed to be normal. There were some weird remarks, but I think she was teasing me."

Veronica put the bag down and kicked off her shoes, taking a few more gulps of coffee.

"Well, did you feel awkward at all? Or sense that she might be?"

"I don't think so. If anything was awkward it probably was because I was looking to see if things were awkward," he frowned and moved onto the mat, getting into position.

"See?" she said, putting her coffee down and following him to the mat. "Rory was just confused or something."

"Possibly. I guess I should be glad it was Rory and not someone else who came after me." His frown deepened. "If Logan and Angel know, please try to talk them out of actually killing me?"

"If they say anything, I will definitely tell them they can't kill you," she promised.

"Ass kicking I can deal with," he said with a grin. "And that's what you get to do now so I can give you an idea of what you're supposed to do."

"Well, I think I can manage that," Veronica said. "You just want me to kick you?"

"Yep. I'm sure this is what you've been waiting for to do," Cameron joked.

With a grin, she got into her stance and aimed a kick at Cameron's stomach.

Cameron moved to the side and used his arm to block the kick. "Good kick."

"Thanks," Veronica beamed. "So basically it's just dodge and smack away?"
