The gym, Thursday morning

Aeryn heads to the gym early, since there wasn't any specified time to meet. She's got her own gloves with her, putting them on before heading to the bag for a warmup until Molly arrives.

Parker smiled when she saw Aeryn, then started her stretches, waiting for her turn at the bag. "Hey. How's it going? I haven't seen you in a while."

Molly ran into the gym at full speed. She halted when she saw Aeryn at the bag. "Sorry. I meant to be here earlier, but I got sidetracked."

"Things are all right," she says, greeting Parker with a little smile before going back to the bag. "You?"

"Looking forward to real classes. Which feels *wrong*, but, what can you do." She carefully stretched her neck, then bent over, walking herself out and back to stretch her legs. "I'm not looking forward to the hordes of newbies we'll probably get, though."

Aeryn pulls back from the bag. "Not a problem," she assures her. "Everything's all right?"

Aeryn pauses in her punches for long enough to say, "The last batch wasn't all bad, actually."

"No, they weren't." Parker grinned, standing up to stretch her arms over her head. "Especially considering their across-the-board participation in Shirtless Day. I'm just not looking forward to either learning all their names, or the inevitable 'no, really, we have Jell-O dragons here' conversations, and the looks we'll get. Although the looks when they start to believe are much funnier."

"Yep," Molly said with a nod. "Just lost track of time."

Jamie walks sllllllooooooowly into the gym as though he went through a tremoundous work out yesterday. After waving at his fellow classmates, he carefully stretches out and begins a slow pace on the treadmill to warm up.

"All right," she says. "I know it's been a while, so have you been practicing at all on your own?"

"I may just procure some copies of the last edition of the newsletter and force them to read Peter's article," she says. "I think it may save time."

"A little," Molly said. "I kind of work it into my warm ups for cheer practice. So, I haven't actually hit anything, but I remember the moves."

"Training for next time?" Aeryn greets him.

"More than likely. That was a good article, really. Or have another Orientation like they did back in January, and let them watch Locker 327 eat some shoes instead of students." Parker did a few practice moves, blocking upward, then down. "Although StuCo reps would probably get tapped to do it."

"How are you on control?" Aeryn asks, remembering that it had been an issue. "Would you rather do the same thing as last time, or do you think you'd be ready for something a little different?"

"Cheer practice has helped a lot with the control thing, I think," Molly said. "At least, it has made it so I don't have to think about it so much. Can we try something different?"

"That and recovering from a night of rooftop hopping with Peter," Jamie said looking a little weary. "I may have pushed myself a little too far yesterday. Next time though? I'm not being left in the dust."

Aeryn takes off her gloves, offering to Molly. "Let's test the control then. You can try to hit me instead of the bag, to give you a better idea of where to hit. Or at least aim for me as I will be standing back a couple of steps," she amends, because she would like to keep her ribs unbroken.

Aeryn smiles, kicking at the side of the bag. "That part doesn't affect me, so I can be all for it."

She turns away from the bag, frowning. "Rooftop hopping?"

Parker stuck her tongue out at her. "Heh. To suggest it to the administration, or not? Lack of dead or missing or confused newbies, or me playing Tour Guide. Survival vs. annoyance. Decisions, decisions."

"Preventing a problem usually saves more time than dealing with the aftermath of it," Aeryn points out.

"Basically jumping from rooftop to rooftop in town," Jamie explained. "Which is really the standard mode of transport when you're a hero in New York City. Unless you have a flying car."

Molly grinned and slipped on the gloves. "Good, because I don't think I'm ready to test my control on a person yet."

Once she had the gloves on properly, she took her stance facing Aeryn. Elbows tucked into her sides, she held her hands up in front of her before throwing a nice compact punch, just like Angel and Aeryn had shown her.

Aeryn's eyes have gone really wide. "That's insane," she informs him, in case he didn't know.
