Pyramid Court, Friday Afternoon (After the Fashion Show)

Owing to various . . . well, distractions, you could say, Anders hadn't actually hit the Pyramid court in about a week, and the guilt was finally kicking in. Besides, he'd told Parker they'd play today.

So here he was, balls and bag of protective gear laid out along the sidelines, doing his warmup stretches. A couple of hours of this would get his mind off of possible impending doom.

. . . yeah.

[OOC: Mainly for [livejournal.com profile] mparker17, but very much open if you'd like to watch or join in not dirty. Interaction from me will be very slow until about 8:45 PM EST, and full speed ahead after that.]

Parker changed clothes after the fashion show, and showed up in workout clothes. "Looks official. How're you doing?"

"Egregious amusement at the fashion show, Zack-torment as scheduled, new ideas for newbie-torment, and I got a package (http://mparker17.livejournal.com/55658.html?view=1239402#t1239402) to pick up. Which is weird, it's not my birthday or anything." Parker stretched out her legs, leaning forward, then standing out to shake out her hands. "The fashion show was hysterical. Even if someone did photograph me falling on my face."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Definitely." Parker got into a ready position, then quirked an eyebrow at him. "What did you do that you're dying soon, Daisy?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Parker's eyes widened. "Oh, you didn't. You didn't!"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
"Dumbkoff. Throw the ball, maybe we can figure out a way to save your life while we play." Parker bent over. "One...."

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 01:27 am (UTC)(link)
"It was. Heheheheh. Three!" Parker leaped for the ball, eyes glinting.

Bounce, hit, bounce, and Parker had gotten to one of the safety zones. Not one close enough to shoot for a goal, though. She narrowed her eyes at Anders, and grinned. "So. You think he'll flambe you, or do a slow roast? And would doing something really nice for Phoebe save your life, or not?"

She threw the ball away from her, in order to keep Anders from getting possession, then chased after it.

"Any chance at all he *won't* find out?" Parker asked, body-checking him in order to dive and roll upward with the ball in her arms.

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
"Daisy! How many people did you tell? Jeez!" Parker fended him off for a moment, but the exasperation caused her to lose focus, and her grip on the ball. "Crap!"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, keep it that way," Parker panted, running to catch up with him, and blocking an attempt to catch the rebound. Grabbing the ball, she bounced it and ran to the next safety zone, and *had* to try for a basket. Teeter, totter, and score.

"Yes!"

Those victory dances cost when you're not playing football.

"Aside from the sheer entertainment value-- which is more than enough reason-- *why* did you risk your life like that?" Parker shot after him, getting in his way, weaving and dodging.

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
"No, that's fair. Revenge, you get a B+. Sneakiness? You flunk, if three people more than you already know." She shook her head, and made stab at grabbing the ball, not managing to get more than her fingertips on it.

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 02:38 am (UTC)(link)
"Got that right," Parker said, catching the rebound. "Good thing you've got other talents. Soooo. Maybe if I offer to *not* send those photos to Angel, he wont kill you?" She went bounding down the court, bounced the ball off one rebound wall, tripped, and had to correct, thus losing track of where the ball went.

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 02:42 am (UTC)(link)
Parker shook her finger at him, snickering. "Death Wish Anders, now stepping onto the court. He feints. He faints! And then he lets himself get body-slammed--" Parker suited the action to the word, trying to get past him to make another goal.

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
"Back-up career option, definitely." Anders is tall enough and good enough that Parker loses control of the ball, pouts, and pounds down the court after him. "I'll say really nice things about you at the funeral!"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh, come on! That was classic!" Parker tried for the ball, and had to follow Anders back to center court. "And it will say things about your baking skills, and handcuffs, and your skill as a Pyramid player and writer--" She spun in front of him, trying to catch him off-guard, and grinned. "And lover!"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
Parker dove for the ball, ran three paces, shot and scored. "YES!" She did her victory dance again, then bounced in front of him. "No! I wouldn't. Scared you though, didn't I?"

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
"I know too much?" Parker grinned at him, getting ready for the next tip-off.

[identity profile] mparkerceo.livejournal.com 2006-08-12 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
Not likely. "Awwwww. That is so cool of you." Parker dodged, and ducked, and lunged forward, bouncing the ball off a rebound surface. "I'll put that in the eulogy too!"
