Marie's got some cheesecake from her baking class and is ready to be sociable after not feeling well for the better part of last week.

After getting Marie's call, Kawalsky left that stupid obsessive video game Half-Life and wandered up to the fifth floor common room. "I smell baked goods."

What? He had a nose for them.

"We made cheesecake in baking this morning," Marie said. "It turned out pretty well I think. Angela and I worked together."

"No special ingredients that might make weird stuff happen?" He'd never be able to just eat simple baked goods again without asking.

"I don't think so," Marie said slowly. She'd been away over Grease weekend and had no idea what happened.

"Oh good." He looked relieved and sat down. "You said you weren't feeling so good. I could've made you a mean chicken soup out of a can to make you feel better."

"Aw, that's sweet," she smiled. "I'm feeling better now though. I just didn't want to get anyone else sick, so I kept to myself."

Bel wandered in and examined Marie's cheesecake. It looked decidedly more edible than his and Cally's attempt.

"Hey," Marie said. "How'd you and Cally do today?"

"We didn't burn down the kitchen, so that's a plus," Bel said.

Pippi was flouncing through when she noticed cheesecake and people.

Two of her favorite things.

Besides rhubarb pudding and policemen.

Marie giggled. "Always a plus," she agreed.

"Well, if you get sick again and you change your mind, I have a gas mask so I can stay bug-free." He eyed the cheesecake but didn't take any. "So aside from being sick, been doing anything? Seen any good movies lately?" Yeah, he wasn't good at the conversation thing today.

"Hi!" Marie smiled. "How are you?"

"Hey," Kawalsky waved from the floor.

"Good." Pippi said grinning back. "And yourself?"

"Not really," Marie admitted. "I've mostly just been hanging out, reading and watching DVDs. What have you been up to?"

"Yours looks edible at least," Bel pointed out.

"Furniture not good enough for ya up here?" she asked with a grin.

"Better," Marie said. "I wasn't feeling well, that's why I missed practice on Saturday."

"Oh sucky." Pippi said. "Well, I'm glad you're feeling better. We didn't learn anything new, we just practiced what we already know."

"Well that's good to know," Marie said. "Want some cheesecake?"
