Third Floor Common Room, Friday Evening

Dawn was on the couch, surrounded by snacks and eagerly anticipating the newest Wormhole X-treme episode. She adjusted the long sleeve of her shirt to make sure the bandages were covered and took a pull from her liter bottle of water--as you do after significant blood loss.

Then she settled in to be squeeful--it was possible she had a small crush on Doctor Levant, who hadn't been on in a couple of weeks. What could she say? Tall brainy guys were hot. Plus, this way she didn't have to think about the last few days, which was all of the good.

Fresh back from the movies with Sammy, the one thing Dean wanted to do tonight was pretty much hang out somewhere with people so he checked the various common rooms until he found one occupied. Who it was occupied by was just a nice bonus.

"Hey," he greeted Dawn, coming in and flopping down on the couch beside her. "Looks like you're settled in for the evening."

"Yup." She turned and put her feet in Dean's lap. "Glad to be back?"

"Oh hell yeah. Being invisible is definitely overrated." He idly picked up one of her feet and started massaging it. "How's your arm?"

Dawn groaned and her head feel back against the couch. Dean having great hands hadn't changed. "It's sore, but it'll heal. Totally worth it."

Molly poked her head in and grinned when she saw Dawn. "Hey, Dawn," she said as she entered the room.

"I probably should say something like 'you shouldn't have,' but considering everything I'm glad you did."

"Molly!" Dawn waved with her good arm, but didn't move her feet from where they were in Dean's lap.

"Me too. And it's not like you can return it to the store." She looked down, and then said, quietly, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you before."

Like Dean, Sam wasn't exactly thrilled by the idea of being by himself tonight. "Hey," he said in greeting.

Molly noticed where Dawn's feet were and gave her one briefly raised eyebrow when Dean couldn't see it before sitting down in the closest chair. "What's on TV tonight?"

Dawn waved. "Hi, grab a bottle of water and pull up some snacks. How's your arm?"

"Wormhole X-treme," Dawn said a little sheepishly. "New episode."

"Never seen it," Molly said. "Is it good?"

"It's okay," Dean said immediately. "It's kinda a big thing to try and work into casual conversation."

"Not bad, all things considered. You're good with a knife," Sam said. "How are you feeling?"

"Hey Molly," Dean greeted her. "How did you like Coruscant?"

"It was soooooo cool!" Molly said. "Did you have fun?"

"I'm not sure, but that doesn't stop me from watching," Dawn admitted. "It's about a team of four people who keep going through some kind of wormhole thing and having adventures. This Andrew guy back home got me addicted."

"Very sleepy," Dawn yawned, covering her mouth. "Too much research, not enough food and sleep, I guess. You?"

"Sci-fi? That's kind of cool. I like sci-fi shows."

Dawn couldn't help but think this conversation would have been different if they'd still been dating. "It is. And really, I wouldn't have said anything otherwise. It's not safe for you to know."

"I'm totally in it for Doctor Levant. He's the smart one."

"Oh yeah. That's the kind of field trip I can get behind. I even managed to finally buy a laser gun -- well blaster they call it there," he enthused. "I've been wanting something like that since Aeryn let me try her pulse pistol."

"Which one is he?" Molly asked, looking at the screen.

Sam shrugged lightly. "I slept through the whole night and didn't have any nightmares. So, I'd like to think I'm at least improving."
