4th Floor Common Room, Friday Morning

Blair had some time before his prophecy lab and decided to cook breakfast. Or cut up breakfast, since he decided to make fruit salad.

Well, that was what he was doing before he decided strawberries were good for juggling.

Bel was bored and wandering downstairs. He paused on the fourth floor and watched Blair juggle. Well, it was better than him pretending to be a mime at least.

Blair looked over at Bel and bounced in the middle of his juggling. "Hey, man!"

"How do you manage to juggle and and bounce at the same time?" Bel asked idly.

"It's a gift. I probably bounce in my sleep, man." Blair caught the strawberries and turned back to the cutting board. "You want some breakfast?"

Bel looked at the fruit salad dubiously. "No meat?" he said sadly.

Blair scooped out a bowl of fruit and held it out to Bel. "I could toss in some chicken if you want. I think it would taste gross, but it's up to you."

Jim wasn't entirely sure why he had headed up to the fourth floor in search of food. But he did. He padded into the common room before his first class, yawning.

"Morning, Blair."

"Fruit?" Blair bounced and grinned at Jim.

Jim opened his mouth to make the obvious joke, but decided that he was a better man than that.

Like with anywhere else she went, Luna arrived in the common room with an air of someone who possibly meant to be elsewhere.

"I can't help that I'm a carnivore," Bel said. "And a growing boy."

Blair scooped out a bowl of fruit salad and held it out to Jim. "How's your first week of classes been, man?"

"Viva la bagels!" Blair called out in greeting.

Blair looked up at Bel in disbelief before digging in the fridge for leftover chicken strips. "Seriously, man. I think you've grown enough, but here you go."

He handed over the fruit and chicken salad. "Next time I'll make a meat salad just for you."

"That'd be great," Bel said happily, munching on the chicken and fruit. "Thanks, man."

Luna waved backed and having seen the fruits Blair was slicing up asked, "have you any raisins in eye-patches this morning?"

"None at all. They must all be out revolutionizing this morning." Blair nodded. "I do have some strawberries that look a little shifty and a honeydew melon that seems very anti-establishment."

"You're welcome." Blair grinned and tried not to contemplate just what a meat salad would look or taste like. "Happy to be done with the first week of classes?"

Luna giggled. "I believe I'll take some melon with my fruit salad, then. It wouldn't do to have a complacent breakfast."

"Non-complacent melon coming up!" Blair smiled as he diced up melon to add to Luna's breakfast. "Did you like Dr. Wilson's class yesterday?"

Mmm, strawberry chicken. "Oh yeah," Bel said. "Nothing today, so I'm just hanging out. Trying to decide if I want to add another class on to my schedule or just stick with the four. How about you?"

"You only have four?!" Blair exclaimed. "Why wouldn't you take another one?"

"I would seriously go to class seven days a week if they'd let me, but it's nice to have the first week over with. The introductions are pretty boring." Blair shrugged. "All my classes are pretty cool, although I'm out of my depth in Philosophy and Prophecy since I rate a zero on the magic meter."

"Because I don't have to?" Bel said. "I only have to take three and then I could spend the rest of my time doing whatever I want." He shrugged. "I'm thinking about Phale's prophecy course myself. Might be interesting."

"Molly and I dicussed whether or not the office would let me take more classes if I developed multiple personalities." Blair bounced.

"You should! I'm in that class and Aziraphale is really cool and he has a lab on Fridays and..and....Phoebe is in it too!"

"Might do me some good to know about prophecies, too," Bel said, nodding. "Especially with Phoebe's power."
