Outside the Dorms; Thursday Evening.

Mizu had to have the bladder the size of a pea. Seriously. This was the kind of irony Chad was a little less inclined to find so amusing. Not that he minded Mizu's company, but his failed attempts to flag Ranma down and tell him to pick up the puppy had him rather worried. Sure, he could have probably tracked Ranma down in between now and then, but he still wanted to give him his space and he just may have gotten caught up in playing with the puppy when he got back to his room.

So Chad took Mizu out for a bit of a walk and for the dog to take care of his business, idly contemplated while he waited.

Teddy's search for Chad had lead him outside of the dorms. It was getting to be a bit ridiculous how hard it was to find people. Especially when the person he couldn't find was basically a giant.

Then he spotted Mizu standing next to a large tree. A tree that, upon further inspection, was actually Chad.

Teddy waved at Chad as he jogged over towards him. "Hey!"

Mizu tromps over to Teddy's feet, tail wagging. Hey it's the blonde guy! He likes this guy. His name was... Teddy...? He gives good ear scratches.

Chad's first response was, of course, to wave back to Teddy as he jogged up, but then Chad noticed something tucked under Teddy's arm. If he wasn't mistaken....that was a bat.

Unfortunately, in Chad's experience, people didn't run toward you with a bat because they wanted to play baseball or, God forbid, cricket.

People ran at you with a bat because they wanted to beat you senseless.

Chad squared his shoulders and gulped. Great. He hadn't even smashed any windows, defaced any buildings, or taken a drunken piss on someone's lawn yet....

"Uh. Hey. Teddy..."

Teddy grinned down at Mizu and gave him a little scratch behind the ears. Because, honestly, who in their right mind could resist that much cute?

He straightened up and adjusted the bat under his arm, looking up at Chad. "I've been looking for you."

Whee! Scritches! Mizu likes today. He got to play with Chad and he got to have a sleepover! His tail was going swishy swish faster than before.

Chad only gave a slight glance at Mizu; his shoulders squared just a bit more. He couldn't imagine what sort of problem Teddy might have with him, but his insincts were kicking in. Might as well be back in a dirty alley in Mexico at the moment. "Yeah?" he cocked his chin up sharply.

Looking up at the bottom of Chad's chin, Teddy was seriously contemplating growing taller just so his neck wouldn't hurt as much.

"Yeah. It's about Ranma, actually," Teddy said, giving Chad his best 'don't move funny and everything is gonna be fine' smile. He'd never actually used it before, but hoped that the meaning was clear.

Puppy perks up at the mention of his master's name. He hasn't seen Ranma for a long time now (it's a long time in puppy time) and he missed him. He sorta looks around for him but he's disapointed.

Chad crossed his arms over his chest in an action of indimidation and said "What about her?" before something clicked in his head, and his arms dropped back down, his eyes a little widened. There was a small sound of distress in his voice. "She's okay, isn't she?"

Teddy resisted the urge to beat his head against something hard. It was a very strong urge though, mind you, and he was working very hard to resist.

"He is fine. Now at least." Teddy's grin became a little more predatory. "But I think you and I need to have a little talk about what exactly is going on between you two."

Chad moved his head to the side rather warily. As far as Chad was concerned, the most that was going on between them at the moment was that they were science fair partners, despite his best efforts. "What's...going on between us?" It seemed almost more of a question to Teddy than a mere repetition of what confused him the most about what he said.

Teddy sighed. This was like some horrible comedy of errors. Only gayer.

"Why do you call him a girl?" Teddy asked, trying to get this threatening back on track.

"Uhhh...." That was...an interesting question. Chad scratched the back of his head. " 'Cause he is one sometimes."

Teddy frowned. "And does calling him that upset him?"

"Well," Chad paused for a moment, thinking, recalling. "Yes. But that's like me getting upset for someone saying 'hey. You're a big guy.'"

But he also never mentioned it after Ranma told him to stop in the course of a conversation. That could count for something. However, as he kept that in his head, it probably wouldn't.

Teddy rolled his eyes. "'Cause height and gender are so very comparable."

"Just don't do it anymore, okay? He's a he no matter what body he's in." He said with a sigh. If he didn't heal so fast, he just knew that he'd be getting an ulcer from dealing with this.

Chad knew that it would be very difficult thinking of a person with a body like Ranma's female form as a he, but Teddy hadn't smacked him with the bat yet, so what else could Chad do but agree?

"Okay," he nodded. He was a he, even when he was a she. Got it. He thought.

Teddy nodded. Good, they were getting somewhere.

He moved the bat so it was now resting on his shoulder, ready for a swing if need be.

"Now that we're clear on that, we have question number two. What exactly are your intentions toward him?" Teddy smiled brightly when he finished the question.

Chad frowned. Where the hell was all this coming from?

"In...tentions?" his eyebrows sunk over his eyes. "Nothing. Unless..." No way. It couldn't be...That line of thinking was just ridiculous. But Chad's eyes fell for a moment toward Mizu sniffing at their feet. Ranma had trusted him with his dog.... "Unless sh....he has some?"

Teddy shrugged, face impassive. "Can't say for sure. Ranma's a bit emotionally repressed if you ask me, so who knows?"

He shifted the bat a bit, getting a better grip. "I'm just trying to make sure he doesn't get hurt by any misunderstandings."

That bat. Ugh. Chad grunted. "I'd never hurt him intentionally," he said, truthfully. He wouldn't hurt a fly if he could help it.

Teddy nodded, clearly pleased.

"Good. 'Cause you're a nice guy and I'd really hate to have to hurt you," Teddy said, grinning. Well his teeth were showing anyway, so it could be called grinning.

After spending two weeks with Tommy, he was pretty damn good at the whole cheerful destruction thing.

"Uh, yeah...." Chad scratched the back of his head for a moment, thinking, and then dropped his arm. He vaguely pointed a finger toward Teddy, and then shifted it, to a presumed invisible Ranma next to him; the finger went back a few times. "Is there, uh....something between you two, or something? I, uh, didn't mean to step on your toes or anything, man."

Teddy stared blankly at Chad for a few moments, trying to process what was just said. "Me? And Ranma?"

He laughed, "No! God no! My boyfriend would kill me!"

~~"You're more my type big boy, Rraow!"~~

At the mention of master's name again Mizu started to look a bit sad. Where was he? He went to Chad's feet and looked up with the TRUE puppy eyes.

Somehow, Chad felt extremely relieved by that. But he didn't have much time to ponder it, as he had noticed the unmistakable glint of puppy-god eyes being turned his way, and he could never ignore that. He titled his head a bit, looking down at Mizu, frowning.

"We should really get him back to Ranma. Errr, maybe you should," Chad sad, idly offering the leash to Teddy. He had a feeling Ranma wouldn't exactly want to see him; he wasn't sure if he was quite ready to see Ranma after all this, either.

Ranma was going for a short walk, though he was lonely without Mizu. He'd been meaning to ask Chad for him back but couldn't bring himself to.. HEY! There's Teddy. He trots over at a slow jog. "Hi Teddy what are-" He then sees Chad, under the tree?! Sneaky... "-you... Oh... hi Chad.."

Teddy waved cheerfully at Ranma. He was trying desperately to keep from laughing at this new arrival. "Hey Ranma!"

He walked toward Ranma and stopped after he'd placed him between himself and Chad. "It's nice seeing you again, but I've really gotta run."

He looked over Ranma's head at Chad and waved the bat once, just to get his point across. "See you two later."

There just might have been a sneer on Chad's face, balling up his fist and thinking that if he had that bat in his hands, he might just have thrown it right at Teddy. But the fist unballed and turned into a wave. "See ya, Teddy."

Okay. Awkwaaaaard.

"Hey, Ranma." He held out Mizu's leash for him. "I think I found your dog."

Ranma couldn't look Chad in the eye. He kneeled and called Mizu over to him. //Wanma!// Mizu was happy to be reunited. Ranma couldn't help but smile even with the situation. He loved his puppy very much. Ranma barked a short sentence //Hi buddy. I missed you.//

Chad was about five seconds away from facepalming. First, that whole thing with Teddy and the bat and 'intentions' and now, the first thing Ranma does after his timely appearance is start barking.

This was way, way, way to much to handle right now.

"Okay, see ya later, Ranma. Mizu." He gave a small wave and started to move away.

"Hey Chad...!" He says a firmly, though quietly.

Chad turned, glancing over his shoulder. "Yeah?"

He shrinks a bit. "Uh... I don't know what Teddy said... but sorry... I didn't think he'd actually come talk to you... I thought he was just trying to make me feel beter or something..."

"Hey, no, it's cool," Chad shrugged. "I'm just glad he didn't hit me."

"Thanks for watching Mizu for me...~~I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to him omg~~"

"Anytime," Chad nodded. "He's a really great pup."

Ranma picks said puppy up and craddles him in his arms. He's at a little bit of a loss. He finally looks up sligtly and just blushes a little, trying to hold a gaze.

Chad's definately not even going to try to hold a gaze because he knows he can't. He keeps his body facing a sharply different way, his head down slightly, running a hand awkwardly through the hair on the back of his head.

"So, um, Ranma?" he asked; he head shifted slightly toward him.

Ranma's glad he doesn't have to try to look him in the eye anymore. He now just watches Chad with curiousity. "..Yeah..?"

"We cool?" And he does turn his head toward Ranma, tilting it slightly, brushing his hair from his eyes.

Ranma felt even more flush in his cheeks. Aww his eyes are cute. WHAT?! NO NO! You didn't just think that! He tried to say it. But it ended the way of most of his sentences in situations like this, "S-Sure.."

"Good." Chad nodded, shifted slightly, then shifted back, as though not quite sure whether to leave or stick around for a bit longer. But he lifted a hand in a wave, and turned more completely. "Have a good night, you guys."

"Oy-Oyasuminasai.." He says a bit quietly.

As he turned the corner, Chad couldn't help but smile a bit, amused by the use of Japanese. He had a feeling that that went well.

Mostly because he had not been beaten with a bat by a guy who could probably do a pretty good job of it.
