The Gym: Saturday mid-morning

Jack had slept in incredibly late and woken up in a strangely good mood.

After a shower and coffee, he'd made his way down to the gym and was currently using one of the rowing machines while he waited.

Cedric found his way down to the gym shortly thereafter.

"I often wish I had your energy," he said and shook his head.

Jack looked up at Cedric and grinned. "Trust me, you've got plenty of energy," he said and he disengaged from the machine and walked over to stand in front of Cedric. "And how are you?"

Sam showed up in an old t-shirt and pair of sweats. "Morning, guys. We ready?" She was probably too happy about this, but it was caffeine-induced, mostly.

"Hey, Sam. I don't know if we'll ever be ready, but we're game," Jack said as he bounced over to kiss her hello.

She kissed him back, but didn't linger over it. "Game is good. Cedric? Have you had any hand-to-hand at all?"

"Okay, so...we'll start at the beginning," Sam decided, unconcerned. "I think it would be best if you practiced punching against each other--slowly first for form, but then faster and stronger once you get used to it."

"I think it's inevitable," he replied and sneakily slipped his arms around Cedric's waist. "What do you think we should do to pass the time until Sam gets here?"

"I don't seem to have that problem. Right now I'm full of creative ideas, none of which are really practical given that we're in a public place." Jack made a sad face. "Unfortunately. But there's always this?" He kissed Cedric again, just lightly, then lifted his head and looked at him questioningly.

Jack grinned and tapped him on the chest. "Want some company? I'm setting up for Parker's band, but after that I think I'd be up for a long night of," he snickered as well, "fish conversation."
