Fourth Floor Common Room, Sunday Evening

In need of distraction, Isabel wandered out to the common and flipped on the TV, smiling when she saw that The Amazing Race was on. A cute Kiwi was the perfect distraction from her worries. She found a bag of chips in the cabinet, poured them into a bowl for sharing and settled down on the couch to watch the show.

Peter wandered up to the common room sometime after his sparring with Aeryn. "Hey, Isabel," Peter said. "Anything good on?"

Peter looked at the TV. "It would be so cool if that were literal. A bunch of jesters racing around the world."

"Did they wear their clown costumes on the show?" Peter asked.

Teddy felt slightly better than yesterday. He no longer felt the need to hug a pillow every five minutes or brood about his recent orphaning.

He wandered into the common room, feeling the need for social interaction, and waved.

"Hey."

"Why didn't I watch this show more often?" Peter asked. "Anyone interesting this time?"

"Hey there. I don't know you yet," Peter said. "Peter Parker."

"I picked a lock." Teddy replied. It was an automatic response, and he was pleased to note that he sounded energetic about it. "And you?"

Teddy extended his hand gave a small grin, "I'm Teddy Altman."

"Male models are down to earth?" Peter asked. "There goes yet another lesson from the movies down the window. Damn you, Aquariumlander!"

Peter shook Teddy's hand. "Nice to meet you. Enjoying the crazy land so far?"

Teddy waved dismissively, "You probably didn't need those brain cells anyway."

"Then society hasn't failed me," Peter said. "Good."

Teddy nodded. "Yeah, it sure takes some getting used to though."

"Wait until we're invaded by monsters or weetinybunnies or something. That's when you'll see just how crazy this place is."

"I've dealt with too many people with superpowers and teamwork issues. I'm imagining how this would be different if they had eyebeams," Peter said.

"Invasions I think I can deal with, though weetinybunnies are new," Teddy said. "It's the time travel that still throws me through a loop."
