The garage - Monday morning

Early Monday morning a helmeted figure wearing a black leather racing jacket rode into the garage on a swoop bike that might be familiar to some. After parking the bike and climbing off, Molly removed her helmet and gloves and went to go stand by the still open garage door.

It had been winter before she crossed the causeway. The ground further north had been covered by snow from two December storms. Here though, it was obviously still fall. Unzipping her jacket, Molly gazed out at the campus and tried to judge how much time had passed here since she left. The grass was still green and the leaves had barely begun to change so it couldn't have been too long since she'd left. Certainly not the three months she'd spent in her own time.

This made Molly even more certain that her inability to get back to the island the first time she'd tried was more because of her than whatever magic Fandom used to decide who could enter. Why refuse her entrance once only to let her return to a time just shortly after she'd left? She shook her head and turned to deal with her swoop bike. Whatever the reason, she was just glad to be back.

Finding a rag in one of the cupboards, Molly first cleaned off her helmet and then began cleaning the worst of the road dirt off of the bike.

Alec walked into the garage, figuring there'd be no one there both early and on a Monday - so he was, of course, surprised to see someone already present, and among the swoop bikes. The bike they were working on was familiar, but the last person he'd known to actually ride it wasn't around anymore.

Moving towards his own bike, he glanced over at the figure in leather. "Hey, you got a license for that vehicle?"

"Molly!" Alec returned the hug and grinned back at her, equally as mischievous. "How irresponsible of you! I certainly don't know what it's like to ride around the country without a license, and if I did I know I wouldn't tell you I'm glad to hear you got by okay." He clapped her on the shoulder, looking her over. "So, how are you? You look a lot happier than the last time I saw you."

He whistled, eyes widening a little. "January? It's October 2nd today." Alec smiled. "Nice of Fandom to decide we only needed to lose you a couple weeks. Would've missed seeing your face around."

"Only the cute ones," he assured her with a grin.

"And Buffy's not only not a puppy," he began, rolling his eyes. "She's also wrangled me into a school dance thing. Cheer practice needs to start up again - I was kind of hoping Buffy'd take over now that she's back, but I guess she's had other things on her mind." He thought a moment. "Haven't had any attacks or anything, so I guess it's been pretty quiet for Fandom otherwise.

He sighed, smirking somewhat. "This Wednesday good? Either I'll get Buffy to remember she's got a team to run or I guess I'll just have everyone meet in the gym anyway."

"Sure," he said, grinning again. "It's her thing, you'd think she'd be eager to get back to making sure we're all jumping when she says so."

"Like I said, she's had a lot going on." Alec shrugged. "Don't know what we'll be doing without the basketball team to cheer for though."
