Fourth floor common room, Saturday noonish

Jude was watching cartoons and making pancakes.

On a stick.

He was considering moving on to waffles. Also on sticks.

[[Open for all your food-onna-stick needs. Sorry, no soup.]]

Once she got bored of hanging around her room, Mac ventured along to the common room in search of company.

She wandered in and raised an eyebrow at pancake-on-a-stick. She smiled at Jude anyway, there were weirder ways to eat food. "Hi, nice pan-kebab."

Mac chuckled and shook her head, "I think I'll pass." She's pretty much given up explaining the vegan thing to people, it's just not worth the effort. "I was going to make coffee, though. You want?"

"Aaw, sucks for you," Mac commented making her way over to the counter to make it. "I'm Mac, by the way. Don't think we've met properly yet... and if we have, sorry and I'm a moron."

"Glad I'm not alone in that. We should start a club or something, charge membership, make a fortune. That'd be kinda festive," Mac said collecting a mug and filling the kettle.

Matilda skips in, she can sense food. "Hello! Is someone cooking in here?"

"That should be in our motto," Mac added leaning back against the counter while she waited for it to brew.

"So Jude, having a good week?" she asked. "Managing to avoid getting soaked by sprinklers and everything?"

Mac waved in greeting at the girl she didn't know. "I will have coffee in a minute if you want some?"

[identity profile] bookwormwood.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 07:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'd love one."

"I'm not a big fan of coffee. Do you happen to have any milk?"

[identity profile] imac-kenzie.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 07:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"Eh, me too. They got the best of us." Mac smiled, and started pouring her now done coffee into a mug. "Personally, having a really great week. It's just been, well, nice." She shrugged non-commitally.

Mac, not really getting the no-coffee thing shrugs and goes to check the fridge. "Personally, I don't drink milk," she said pulling a carton out. "But someone in here has some, whether you want to risk eating anything out of here without knowing exactly whose it is and how long it's been there..." Mac trailed off and pulled a face. "I wouldn't recommend it, actually."

She takes a bite and searches a bit for syrup or butter. "Do you have any toppings for these Pancakebabs?"

Matilda nods, very receptive to the advice. "I'll have some water, coffee's a little too bitter for me."

"No problem," Mac said as she filled a glass from the tap. She made her way over to Matilda holding the water out. "I'm Mac. So, are you new? Or have you been here all summer, and I'm just showing my slight antisocial tendencies by still not having met you."

Mac grinned happily, probably also thinking of her week of snuggling.

"It's good to hear that at least some of us are all about the cheery and happy," she said finding herself a sofa to floop onto. She put her coffee down on a nearby table first, because the most effective flooping is done when you don't spill hot coffee all over yourself.
