Fourth Floor Common Room, Sunday Evening

Having nothing better to do, Blair made popcorn and popped in a tape of this week's Spooky Things episode.

It was totally his favorite.

Bel wandered through the fourth floor common room for lack of anything better to do. He peered at the TV and recognized the episode; he'd already seen it. "You have a career writing TV shows on the side?" he asked Blair.

As this was now his common room and popcorn smelled yummy, Jim padded into the room, lifting a hand in a small salute. "Hey, Chief."

Blair grinned and bounced from his spot on the couch. "Seems like it, doesn't it? Do you think I could get Mr. Winchester to show this episode in class?"

"Jim!" Blair grinned and patted his shirt pocket. "I've got a surprise for you!"

Jim eyed him as he stretched out beside him and snagged some popcorn. "Should I be afraid?"

"Nah, man. It's a good thing." Blair nodded and pulled out a small package with tiny white earplugs and tossed it over.

Jim caught it one hand and a relieved smile spread across his face when he saw what it was. "Thank you."

Lana wandered up to the fourth floor looking for Jim, but when she checked he wasn't in his room. She poked her head into the common room and yep, there he was, sprawled out on the couch near Blair.

"I don't know, I think he'd pass on it," Bel said, grinning.

Lana smiled at Bel. "Hey, how's it going?"

"Sorry it took me so long to think of it, man." There was only a tiny bit of flailing to go with the apology. "I finally figured that until we can get you to keep things at normal for most of the time, these should help with at least one of the problems."

"Okay," he said. "How are you? And thanks for setting up that party Friday night. Phoebe had a great time."

"Maybe he hasn't seen this episode yet and I can just convince him that it's all about death and carnage like normal." Blair said around a mouthful of popcorn.

"Really? I'm glad. I didn't get to see much of her, but it looked like she was enjoying herself."

"Hi!" Blair waved at Lana.

"Hey, stop apologising," Jim replied, tucking the ear plugs into his pocket. "You're helping, that's it. And it's appreciated. A lot."

"It's just a TV show, Blair," Bel said sternly, trying to imitate Daddy Winchester.

"Hey," Jim grinned, and beckoned her over to join them.

"Yeah, she was totally surprised and very happy when we went home that night," Bel confirmed.

Lana smiled at him. "Hey, Blair, how's it going?"

"Yeah, I'll work on that. Sorry." Blair shrugged and grinned. "Uh...or not."

Lana walked over to them and leaned down to kiss Jim on the forehead. "So, what are you two up to?" she asked.

"They're role models! A shining example of what people like you should be doing!" Blair waved a invisible protest sign.

"Good, I'm glad." Lana said happily. "I wanted to do something special for her."

"Pretty good." Blair grinned and pointed at the popcorn bowl that he and Jim were sharing. "Want some popcorn before the walking stomach that you're dating eats it all?"
