Figuring that she'd spent all weekend being social and doing her homework, Dawn decided that today was prime for vegging in front of the television. She had a hidden stash of M&Ms and red swedish fish and was eating one of each at a time as she laid on the floor and waited for Supers to start.

Molly came in and plopped down on a couch. "Hey, Dawn. What are we watching?"

"Right now, some stupid game show," she grumbled in the direction of the television, "How'd your parents weekend go?"

"Pretty good!" Molly said with a big smile. "My friend Chase came and he brought Old Lace! I wish I'd had time to find you so you could meet them. Did your weekend go well?"

"Buffy came," Dawn smiled, "and I think she liked Sam and Dean. She put a big tape line down the middle of Sam and my room, too, which is kind of optimistic, but still sweet. I'm totally bummed I didn't get to meet your friends. Wait, who's Old Lace?"

"She put a tape line down your room?" Molly laughed.

"Old Lace is a genetically engineered deinonychus from the fifty-somthingth century that has a psychic bond with Chase."

"Hey, whatcha got there?" Lavender gestured to the candy.

"Hi!" Lavender grinned at the girl she didn't recognize. "I'm Lavender." she said in her crisp British accent.

Molly grinned back. "Hi! I'm Molly. Nice to meet you."

Dawn handed over an M&M and a fish. "Chocolate and artificial fruit flavored fish. They're best together."

"We blatantly ignored it, because we are rebels," Dawn said solemnly, "and what's a deinonychus and are they supposed to be psychic?"

Molly grinned at Dawn's rebellion. "A deinonychus is a dinosaur," she explained. "They aren't normally psychic, but since Old Lace was created in a lab, they threw it in to make her loyal, I guess."

Lavender sat down on the couch and smiled at Molly. "Where are you from, then?" Lavender asked.

"It's gotta be hard, knowing what everyone around you is thinking," Dawn mused, "but I'm glad you got to see your friends, and I can't believe I missed a dinosaur!"

Lavender bit into the cady. "Oh this is brilliant!" she agreed.

"California," Molly said. "LA specifically. You're from England?"

"If you want a true taste sensation?" Dawn grinned, handing the bags over, "You need to try that with a potato chip added to the mix."

Lavender nodded. "My parents live in London but I've been at school in Scotland most of the time since I was eleven, so that's home as well," she explained. "I'm from 1996 and I'm a witch," she chuckled. "That's the sort of thign you never have to say outside of Fandom."

"You are a true connoisseur," Lavender said, sampling the goodies.

"I am a true junk food addict," she giggled. "How'd your weekend go?"

"It's just an empathic link with Chase so she can't read minds or anything," Molly said and then did her own musing. "Although, that would be helpful for figuring out who the bad guys are." She laughed. "Yeah. Hard to believe anyone missed it, but we actually spent most of Saturday just hanging around the hotel since Chase really didn't want to talk to any of my teachers."

Molly grinned. "Yeah, I know. I'm from 2009 and I'm a mutant. Sorry for forgetting to add that. Are you a witch like Hermione or like Phoebe?"

"Did you have fun? Was it weird to have them here?" Dawn asked, "and Buffy talked to Mr. Winchester, but I think that's it."

"Like Hermione, the Hermione here is from a different timeline but we were roommates at Hogwarts." Lavender shook her head. "If you can wrap your brain around that one." She paused and tilited her head.
"What does being a mutant consist of, exactly?"

Molly nodded. "Yep, I did have fun. It's been a while since we've had time to just hang out. Then, we went to brunch at Wonka's on Sunday morning and saw a bunch of people there."

"I am at home. I shall have to get you some fizzing wizzbees and chocoalte frogs." Lavender replied. "Oh it went fine, I didn't have any visitors, though I met a few. How about you?"
