Fifth Floor Common Room, Thursday afternoon

Instead of packing for Vegas (because he of course preferred to leave these kind of things to the last minute, and it's not like he couldn't just shimmer back if he forgot anything), Bel lounged in the common room, fiddling with his laptop. He was looking up things to do in Vegas, and he'd found some rather interesting possiblities, most of which hinged on Phale and Wilson not catching him sneaking out.

Hopefully no summons from the Underworld would ruin the trip.

Anders was on his way back down from a smoke on the roof, and stopped in when he noticed Bel apparently engrossed in something on the laptop. "That doesn't look like packing."

"Planning for Vegas," Bel said with a wicked grin. "Buying tickets."

Anders flashed back to that conversation with Sam from yesterday, and gulped. "That look on your face makes me think I should start seriously rethinking what I'm going to pack for the weekend."

Bel eyed Anders speculatively. "What are you bringing?" he asked.

Anders shrugged. "Clothes, toothbrush, the usual. But I'm starting to think I'm going to need . . . precautions." That had, after all, been the advice he'd gotten.

"Precautions?" Bel raised an eyebrow. "What sort of...precautions?"

"I already gave Cally bail money, just in case," Anders said, dropping onto the couch. "Show me what you have in mind, why don't you, so I can plan?"

Bel turned the laptop screen away from Anders. "That could spoil the surprise," he said teasingly. "And what's with giving Cally bail money? You don't think I can get you off again?"

"Hey, I don't want to go in completely unprepared," Anders wheedled, trying to peer around and get a glance at the screen. "And yeah, I think you can, any time. Just . . . what if they get it on video?"

"Well, I thought about 'Zumanity'," Bel said, "or maybe 'Fantasy' at the Luxor, or 'Crazy Girls' at the Riviera, but I think I'll keep the final choice a surprise." He paused, and clicked a link. "Unless this is more what you're looking for."

"Hey, Pippi," Bel said. "What's up?"

"Not much, just finished packing for the Vegas trip and I'm boooored."

"Whoa, they're kind of . . ." Anders trailed off and stared at the screen for a moment, then caught himself and shook his head. "Sure that's not what you'd rather see?"

Anders tossed a couple of gumballs at her. "Ready for a crazy weekend?"

"That a request?" Bel said, smirking a little.

"Yeah, I'm doing that tonight," Bel said. "I kinda leave that kind of thing to the last minute."

Anders narrowed his eyes and gave Bel a skeptical look. "I don't know. You tell me."

"Well, I told you I'd show you a good time," Bel said. "But I kinda had my heart set on this other show."

Pippi caught them and popped them into her mouth.

"Oh yes! I'm told there's gambling and sexy dancing."

Pippi shrugged.

"Eh, it's not like we're going away for an undetermined amount of time... I shouldn't think there would need to be much to bring. I wonder if I should bring my crystal ball..."

"I was warned to be careful of accidental marriage," Anders noted. "Bel over here's promised to take me in hand for the weekend, show me the ropes."

"I'm flexible," Anders assured him. "But you're still not gonna tell me what it is, are you?"
