Outside the Front Doors: Tuesday 10 AM

Lana did some stretches, limbering up for her run. She wondered if Conner would actually get up and come to run with her, but she figured either way she should get back into the habit again. And besides, you never knew who else might be interested in going running.

[Open for anyone who wants to go running or talk before the running starts.]

Conner did, in fact, show up just before 10. He was bundled a little too heavily against the cold, the Californian wuss, which made doing his stretches a bit unwieldy. "Morning, Lana!"

[OOC: And I run to work -- back in about an hour.[

Conner quickly discarded 'But I'm from California!' as a possible protest. "You're the expert on running in this weather, I guess," he conceded. Looking slightly embarrassed, he peeled off two of his three sweatshirts and draped them over a nearby convenient tree branch. Hopefully no enterprising squirrels got any ideas.

"Want to take one trip around and see how it goes from there?"

This was a good pace for Conner, for now, so he kept up with her easily. "I've gotta be able to sprint sometimes, but mostly I need to be able to run up and down the field for a long time without tiring myself out. Feel free to yell at me if I take off all of a sudden though, okay?"

"I can do that," Conner agreed, increasing his pace just a notch. He glanced over and added, "You probably got the better scenery doing cross-country, huh?"

Having had some pepto, Billy was feeling better, and decided that some exercise would help. He headed out to do just that and saw that others seemed to have had the same idea. "Morning." he greeted.

"So not exactly the scenic tour." Conner thought about speeding up a little but decided against it, in the interest of actually making it all the way around the island. "But then again, I guess if we were really in it for the scenery we'd be playing golf."

[OOC: Argh, sorry for the super slowness. Work is kinda crazy today.]

"Looking to work a few kinks out?"

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2006-11-14 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's an underated habit." Billy agreed. "Mind if I join you?"

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2006-11-14 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sounds good. How've you been?"

[identity profile] connernotconnor.livejournal.com 2006-11-14 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"Me neither." Conner's mental image of himself carrying a bag of golf clubs and possibly wearing a silly hat was bizarre enough to almost make him trip, but thankfully he avoided the slightly depressed spot in the road just in time. "I mean, you walk around and occasionally hit a ball. Or, like, ride in a cart. Far as I'm concerned, that's not really a sport."

He could be kind of an elitist about that sometimes.

Billy winced. But could not disagree. "Well it has it's moments. But for the most part, yes. It sucks."

[identity profile] l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com 2006-11-14 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"Absolutely."

"Hey Conner."
