Fifth floor common room - Saturday afternoon

Molly had once again taken over the kitchen for cookie baking. This time it was for Christmas presents for her friends so she was only making a couple different kinds. Unlike the many varieties she'd made for the Thanksgiving dinner.

First on the list was a separate bowl of cookie dough just for her and Dawn to eat.

[[OOC: Post is open. Anybody who comes by will get Christmas cookies, but I may be slow to ping as I am seriously multi-tasking today. Please do stop by though. :D]]

Dawn bounced in, hair in a ponytail and wearing a pair of cotton pants and a loose sweater. "I am here and ready to help!" She announced.

Dawn picked up a wooden spoon and started stirring carefully. "How many different kinds of cookies are we making?"

"Oooh, frosting!" Amazingly, Dawn hadn't had any sugar or caffeine yet--she was just that big of a dork.

"You may regret telling me that," Dawn said, already thinking that fuschia would be pretty.

"Oooh, then we need to make gray," Dawn hoped she remembered, and pondered vampire angels. "With maybe a little green, for authenticity."

"I knew there was a reason I liked you," Dawn said, as she finished stirring. "What next?"

Dawn took her spoon, scooped up some cookie dough, and tasted it, making thoughtful faces. "I find this more than acceptable."

"I guess I'll keep mixing, if you want?" Dawn said. "I always end up with dough all over the rolling pin and flour in my hair."

Alec wandered through the common room, stopping when he noticed the preparations for cooking and people who were doing said cooking. "Hi! Making something?"

[identity profile] lilpunkinbelly.livejournal.com 2006-12-23 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Dawn looked the recipe over, relieved when it didn't seem that tough. "A measuring I will go, a measuring I will go..." Her search for things was definitely helped by Molly having already made a batch of dough.

Dawn waved a dough-covered spoon at Alec. "Hi!"

"I could do both," he said, watching with interest. "Just point me towards something."

"You're making cookies!" Alec grinned. "Having fun?"

"Not completely sure yet," Dawn watched Molly work for a minute or two, then beginning to measure out the flour. "There's talk of a pool party, but there's also the movies and chinese food route, plus, I assume Sam and Dean'll want to spend time with their dad." And Zoe, but she didn't say that, because omg, secret.

"We are," Dawn grinned back, then offered over the bowl of eating dough. "Want some raw cookies? It's worth the salmonella risk."
