4th floor common room: Tuesday Night

Lana and Jim decided that maybe they should emerge from their room and at least pretend to be sociable. So they curled up together on a couch in the fourth floor common room with a ton of popcorn, hot chocolate, tea, and coffee for anyone who might care to come in and watch prime time TV with them.

"What are we watching?" Jim asked idly, tracing designs on Lana's arm.

"Hmm?" Lana asked, watching him touch her. "Oh, um..." She looked up at the TV. "Vanessa Saturn, I think."

"I hope you're not too interested in it," Jim smiled down at her.

Lana smiled back up at him. "Why? You have something better for me to do?"

"This right here works for me," Jim chuckled, brushing his fingers over her arm again.

"Hey, Lana-bra and dude I don't know," Jude greeted them as he limped into the common room and headed for the kitchenette and hopefully foodstuffs.

"Mmmm..." Lana said. "I'll give you about a 100 years to stop doing that."

Lana waved distractedly. "Hey Jude." It was clear, though, that she was too focused on Jim to do more than that.

"Just a hundred years?" Jim asked. "What if I can't get enough of it?"

She rested her head against his shoulder. "I could probably be convinced to give you an extension," she said thoughtfully.

John stumped in, wearing pants this time. Food?

Ranma happened to smell popcorn. That's a smell that travels. He noticed Jude and took a moment before he had enough courage to go talk to him. "Hey Jude...Take a sad song..."

"Oh?" Jim grinned, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "I think I'm going to like Tuesdays."

"Me too," Lana said. "Even though we have the weekends free, there's something different about having a whole day in the middle of the week together."

She sighed contentedly and snuggled in even closer. "I almost want to insist that we get up earlier so we can have even more time together."

Lana waved at him a little distractedly. "Hey, John."

Jude looked up and smiled mellowly at him. "Hey, bro. How's it hanging?"

Jim groaned at the thought of early mornings. "I'd much rather stay up late on Monday nights."

"Mmmm... We could just stay up all night," Lana said dreamily. "Be together from when I'm done work at 5 on Monday till you go to class at 8 on Wednesday."

She peeked up at him to see the expression on his face and laughed. "Kidding, really."

Jim looked sheepish. "Hey, it's not like I don't love spending time with you . . ."

"Well I... Look um... I know it's not my place or... anything like that but... are you really okay with the Chad and Teddy thing? I mean.. Because... it makes me upset just thinking about it."

She laughed. "I love spending time with you, too," she said. "But sleep... kind of important."

Jude's mellow faded completely and he looked down at the counter, leaning heavily against. "So you heard about that, huh?"

"Yeah, just a little," Jim chuckled. He brushed a hand up to twine absently in her hair.
