Setsuna usually didn't do things like this. If you managed to set the spell correctly, you wouldn't have to. But she thought she'd try a little experiment. She'd given the katana letter opener that Ranma had given her as a birthday present a name, Akiko; now that it was named, it could be worked into the spell so that any Mini-Setsuna she created would have a bond to that blade and be able to use it well without her having to include the spell for weapon efficiency.

It wasn't quite that easy. She had to make sure the magic was familiar with the blade. So, while she worked in the salle with Yuunagi, she had a companion, a vague, all-purpose cut-out floating beside her with Akiko in hand, mimicking her movements. She had to keep a mental link with the cut-out to make this work, so her concentration was heavy, to a point where even basic forms had her sweating with the physical and mental efforts.

After his seventh period Science (with an exclamation point) was over, Hikaru stole a peek in the Salle before going back to Sparky's. The sight of the little cut-out and a tiny sword had him curious, but he stayed quiet so as not to disturb her.

Because of all the mental focus that went into channeling energy and thought into the cut-out, Setsuna wasn't nearly as aware of things as she usually was, and noticed only a presence of someone else there. For the time being, she didn't bother identifying it.

Henry saw Setsuna, but decided to wait for her to take a break to approach her. He didn't quite understand the exercise, but it looked difficult.

He smiled a little as he watched, impressed with her dedication in this practice session. It was so interesting to watch...much more interesting than watching Hunny-sempai's practices.
