Shooting range: Wednesday morning

Jack had given Irulan a call yesterday, and arranged to meet her at the range for practice after he got out of Spy Tech.

He conscientiously posted the rules (mostly because if he didn't, he had a feeling Parker would know, and visit unspecified harm upon him) -

SAFETY RULES:

· TREAT ALL GUNS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED

· KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL READY TO FIRE

· BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT’S BEYOND

· ALWAYS WEAR HEARING AND EYE PROTECTION

· NEVER USE ALCOHOL OR DRUGS BEFORE OR WHILE SHOOTING.

· CHECK IN ALL WEAPONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RANGE.

- then geared up, grabbed a gun, and amused himself by trying to hit the target with one eye closed while he waited for Irulan.

It wasn't going well.

Irulan arrived precisely at the specified time Jack indicated she was, again, not wearing her headdress. She immediately saw Jack and approached him. "Hello."

Honor had felt a bit restless since Hamish's departure on Monday night. After a few rounds in the dojo, she decided that demolishing a few paper targets might be a good idea. With her antique Colt, she settled into one of the alleys. Nimitz made himself at home in the booth next to her, ear protection in place, while Andrew looked on from behind.
