Third Floor Common Room; Late Wednesday Night.

Chad...wasn't getting any sleep tonight. While the dinos were tired from their adventures in Empire, Shinobu and Vincente decided to have a party on his bed, jumping and dancing in plushy cactus and teal deer silence. He didn't mind, so long as their crazy antics weren't disturbing Katara. He'd just go to the common room for a bit, with his Carnivore Kingdom DVDs and some popcorn.

After seeing Peter's costume and running moving right along on his way to the common room, Teddy entered the room and plopped down on the couch nest to Chad.

"What's this?"

Chad nodded toward the screen, where the little lion puppet guy was flailing around and talking in Japanese while the image of wildebeasts flocked across the veldt. "Carnivore Kingdom," Chad told Teddy, immediately passing the bowl of popcorn his way and leaning in for a slightly awkward kiss, as he wasn't taking his eyes off the screen. The lions would be coming out soon. You didn't want to miss the lions.

Teddy rolled his eyes at the kiss, slipping an arm behind Chad to cuddle in close. "It's in Japanese."

Oh, hello. There was cuddling. Chad grinned a little, leaning in, shifting to get comfortable. "It's a Japanese show," Chad said by way of explaination. "I think there might be subtitles, though."

Chad dragged his eyes away to look for where he set the remote. Right out of his reach on the little table by the couch. Which meant he'd have to move. Hmmm. That was a problem...

Teddy saw the remote too and was loathe to move away from the cuddling as well. He rested his head on Chad's shoulder. "'s cool. You can just tell me what's going on. Unless the plot is really that hard to follow..."

Considering that the action on screen consisted of lions (and lion plushy thing) were chasing the wildebeasts now and that was about it? "Yeah, it ain't hard to follow."

Mmm, Chad cuddles. Even the crazy lion plushie on the TV and an maybe evil Spiderman couldn't make this a bad night.

"Is the plushie going to kill the wildebeast?"

Chad shook his head a little, and then nuzzled a little into Teddy's hair. "Nope. The lions are, an' then the little plushie guy's gonna talk about it."

"Can't kill a wildebeast with felt claws, Ted." He gave him a little kiss on the head.

"Because TV shows are always oh so logical," Teddy said, grinning at the hair nuzzle.

"'Specially ones from Japan," Chad agreed, nodding slightly.

Nova's little turtle plushie was restless. Nova himself didn't sleep and was still a little unsettled by how nice Yuki had been in class today. The solution, they made a trip to the common room. Hopefully the turtle wouldn't attack anyone else.

Teddy shrugged. "My exposure to Japanese TV is anime and... yeah. Pretty weird sometimes."

From behind the Teddy cuddling, Chad lifted his chin in a nod. "Hey, Nova."

Two days in a row. That was pretty cool. His eyes shifted to the TV screen for a second, then back to Nova with a grin, waiting to see if he'd notice that the lion plushie on the show should look awfully familiar to him.

"This, and Spontanious Trips, were the only shows I could stand to watch in Japan."

Teddy pulled away from Chad long enough to wave to Nova. "Hey, Nova!"

"Chad," Nova said with a short wave. He saw Chad's expression when he looked at the television then had to look himself.

"Kon?" he asked with a confused stare.

Chad nodded. "S'a show about a guy who goes on ghost hunts. He even came to Karakura once." He grinned slightly. "That was interesting."

Nova waved back. "Hi Teddy."

"Not quite," Chad explained. "Kon's plushy is a cheap knock-off of this guy."

The not-quite-Kon was babbling on in Japanese about what parts of the wildebeast the lions don't like eating. While the lions are eating the wildebeast.

Nova watched the deluxe version television Kon wondering how many people had an interest in the eating habits of the wildebeast.

The little plushie, feeling like he was missing something important, pulled at Nova's boot, demanding to be raised to the level of the big people. Nova placed the turtle so it had a good view from the inside of his jacket.

"Yeah, but Kanonji turned out to be kind of a hack, an' Ichigo had ta step in 'cause I guess he released a Hollow."
