The Salle; Mostly All Day Thursday.

It was Thursday. Setsuna was without classes on Thursday, so she she was here, in the salle, engaged in rigerous training with her sword. She was using the Western one today, that Peter had given her. She had still yet to find a good connection with the heavy blade, and hoped to rememdy that in today's session.

Today was Cally's day off. She'd been rather pleased this morning that her bruises were barely noticeable, and that they really weren't noticeable at all after a little make-up. So that morning, she set out on a mission.

And when she found Setsuna in the Salle, she smile.

"Hey," she said. Her jaw was still wired shut, so it was a little muffled.

Setsuna's eyes went to the door to the salle when she noticed someone enter; she was expecting Peter, or perhaps Hikaru, maybe (although she certainly hoped not because she'd yet to apologize to him) Henry. Certainly wasn't expecting Cally. She halted her exercises and sheathed the sword, turning to her with the blade resting at her hip. "Oh. Hey, Cally..."

Cally waved. "Kiss any people's 'irlfriends lately?" she teased.

Setsuna groaned. "Man, you start in quick," she said. "I didn't even have the chance to apologize first...I will, however, remind you that I do have a sword right now, so...you were saying?"

"So you're saying you'd beat up a girl with her jaw wired shut?" Cally said. "I'm only teasing and you know it."

Not wired enough to keep it completely shut, apparantly.

"Empty threat," Setsuna sighed with a nod. "You know I never would; if anything, I'd get in trouble for it. But last weekend is still..a really sensitive subject for me right now. I apologize for kissing Mac. If we can just leave it at that and move on, that would be preferable."

Cally nodded. "Rough weekend to 'ecover from, huh?"

Setsuna drew in a deep breath, wondering if she should offer to Cally the laundry list of offenses, but decided she just didn't have the energy. "Very rough."

Yes, she realized she was talking to a girl who'd gotten beaten up so badly she was out cold for a few days and still had her jaw wired shut, but...well, everyone had her weaknesses. Setsuna's just happened to be things like this.

"Least you didn't get hurt or kidnapped?" Cally offered.

"No," Setsuna agreed reluctantly. "But I still hurt other people."

"Like, actually hurt them?" Cally asked.

Setsuna winced, thinking of the bruises still probably on Jude's neck. "Yeah," she said quietly. "But the psychological pain I've caused is still worse than any phsyical pain."

Cally reached up and scratched behind her neck. "'m sorry," she said, sheepishly.

"Why are you apologizing?" It wasn't, after all, Cally's fault that Setsuna was inflicted with the emo. "It's not like I didn't exect you to make fun of me about it. That's practically all you seem to do around me anymore, it seems. Make fun of me, ever since...since I admitted that I kind of liked you..."

Setsuna's eyes shifted away a bit. Yeah, she was coming to terms with the whole thing. This weekend made her come to terms with a lot of things Having come to terms with it didn't make it any less awkward, though, so Setsuna, slowly, pulled the sword back out of its sheath, idly started back up on a few idle forms, ones that still allowed her to talk with Cally, but that would just leave her standing there awkwardly.

Cally's jaw would have dropped, if it was able to, you know, move. "...you admitted you like me? I've been making fun of you?"

And that would be Setsuna dropping her sword. It would have clattered to the floor if it weren't for her quick ninja reflexes in grabbing it just in time, sending it in an arc to reestablish a better grip as she stared at Cally, eyes wide, face strikingly pale.

"That...that one night. On...on the roof..."

"Okay, you said I was pretty," Cally said. "Those are very different oh my gods things."

And then the flailing and blushing kicked in. "I said you were pretty because you reminded me of the woman I've been in love with for my entire life! That's a little more than just a compliment to your appearance, Cally!"

Cally blinked. "Oh. I... didn't put those ideas together."

Setsuna let out a frustrated grunt, sword sliding fiercely back into her sheath, and she turned to go over to the weapon's locker. She needed Yuunagi for this sort of frustration. "So, great," she said, flinging the locker door open, "what you're telling me is that you actually didn't know I liked you and that you haven't been intentionally making fun of me, and it's all in my head and I could have kept it all in my head?"

Cally nodded. "...I'm sorry?"

Which made Setsuna stop and take a freakin' deep breath, rubbing her temple a little before letting out a sigh, and leaning in the door of the locker a little. "Don't apologise, Cally," she said. "I'm the one with the messed up inability to completely fail at interactions with other people here, not you. And I guess you just kinda caught me at a bad moment."

"I 'eally never meant to make fun of you," Cally said. "I... you like me like me?"

She was gonna be stuck on that.

"And there you go making fun of me again!"

Setsuna frowned. Didn't Cally get that she just couldn't talk about things like this?

"I'm not!" Cally objected. "I'm just confused cause only, 'ike, two people ever have done that!"

"Done what? Like you?"

Cally nodded.

Setsuna frowned a little. "Well, I'm sure that's not the case. It's just that most people don't go around admitting stuff like that."

Unless they're entirely incapable of comfortable assocations with other people like her.

"It took me months after breakin' up with dumb gay boyfriend to find someone," Cally said.

Was there no where this conversation could go that didn't leave Setsuna shifting her weight between her feet uncomfortably? She didn't even know what she could say to that; she realized she couldn't relate. There sort of...always just was Jude or Ranma or...someone.

Setsuna gulped a little. "Uh, yeah, but...the wait was worth it, right? You an' Mac are really, really good together."

She hoped it didn't sound like she was putting too much emphasis on the 'really's.

Cally nodded. "Yeah. Which is why... anything you... we're never going to... Sorry."

Setsuna shook her head. "Oh, no, I know! That's why I...and why I thought you were...an'...I mean, you have Mac and I have Ranma, and if I ever could feel that comfortable with a girl, the only one I can see myself ever wanting to be with is all the way on the other side of the world, anyway, so...yeah."

She really had no idea if that helped or not.

"Then we're totally 'ool," Cally said. "...right?"

Setsuna nodded, trying to ignore the little voice in her head reminding her that Ranma was a girl, too. Two-in-one package, perfect for someo--

She shook her head. "Right. Assuming you forgive me for kissing Mac."

"...please, I thought that was kinda hot," Cally said.

Sometimes, Setsuna wondered if her blushes caused paralyzation, because that's what it felt like at that moment as her face turned red and she seemed stuck in place, staring at some indistinct item somewhere on the floor.

She gulped as she tried to think of what to say to that. All that came out was a little breathless, "Oi."

Cally winced. "...not what you needed to hear. Sorry."

The dismissive wave of her hand was a bit more flaily than normal. "No, no, no, it's fine. I'm just glad you're not mad at me; that's what matters."

Although, if that was true and it wasn't Cally making fun of her, that knowledge was probably going to stick with Setsuna for a while...

Cally nodded. "Well, I don't want to keep you from your training at all."

"Uhhh, yeah," Setsuna quickly extracted her big, long ~~phallic~~ sword from the locker. "It is Thursday. Lots of training to do."

Henry saw Setsuna training. Part of him was ready to just keep avoiding her, but he needed to apologise. Hopefully he could explain away Edward without too many questions.
He opened the door to the salle, and walked in. He gave a rather pathetic wave to get Setsuna's attention. "Hello?"
