School Grounds, Monday Afternoon After Classes

After feeling so cooped up all weekend at work (and they hadn't even gone to work on Sunday... why hadn't they just gone on the ski trip?!), the twins decided that walking Mizu would be a little more entertaining than just sitting in their room or a common room watching T.V.

//"Let's run! Let's run!"// Hikaru held the leash firm as the puppy yanked and yipped excitedly.

"Kaoruuu, tell him to settle down!" Hikaru whined back to Kaoru, getting tired of being pulled this way and that.

//"We'll race at the end of our walk. Only if you're good."// Kaoru barked back at him. It was nice to be able to keep up the language by living with such a talkative room mate.

"Kaoru! Hikaru!" She sees them hurrying around the grounds and waves from her window.

Both look up and grin, waving enthusiasticly. "Oi! Matilda!!""

"Walking Ranma's dog? Mind if I join you?" She grins.

"Come on down! It'll be less boring!" Hikaru called back with a thumbs up.

"Okay, I'm on my way." She closed the window and bounced down the stairs, meeting up with them more than a little out of breath.

Mizu seemed to be quite happy with the new addition once she'd gotten down there. He jumped at her knees with happy yips.

"Glad to see you out and taking a break." Kaoru ruffled her hair a little with a grin.

"Heeeyyy! You know I take breaks from studying sometimes." She laughs. " I usually just end up reading a book for fun then though."

"You should come see usss~" Hikaru whines and leans his chin on head.

She reaches her arms up and locks his head in a backwards hug. "Aren't you cute when you pout Hika?"

"Eck!" He realizes he's locked there and wiggles a little as the puppy yaps at Hikaru's heals, getting excited about his 'capture'.

She doesn't free him but she sees the doggy and grins. "Mizu is really hyper." And the sky is blue. And the grass is green.

"He really wants to race." Kaoru answers, taking the leash from the captured Hika and tugging Mizu over to some bushes to sniff for a little while.

"No way I can beat him. I'm out of shape." She blushes a bit as she admitts it.

"I don't think any of us can...he's got enough energy to keep the Earth turning.." Hikaru mumbles from ontop of Matilda's head, still strapped down.

Matilda feels unusually annoying today so she fake whines after freeing him, "Carry me Hika~."

He makes an annoyed pouting face before turning and bending a little at the knees, "Fiiinee. But only because I like you."

Matilda hops onto his back. YAY piggy backride! She clings around his neck for support.

He adjusts her a little on his back and grabs her knees so that they're secure at his sides before starting to walk. Kaoru follows with the puppy barking happily at them both. //"I wanna be carried! Me too!"//

"What's he yipping about Kaoru?"

"He wants to be carried." Kaoru shakes his head. No way is he carrying the dirt-riddled puppy.

"I am notcarrying him too." Hikaru grumbles and readjusts Matilda's leg.

"Mizzzuuu, you should run. It's good for you!"

//"Let's race, kid."// Kaoru yips at the puppy and starts to run toward some trees with Mizu bounding ahead of him.

"Heyyyyy!" Hikaru whines, making a face and not even attempting to speed up.

Matilda waves a hand and both Kaoru and Mizu anre now running on air and not moving anywhere.

"ACK! Let me down!" Kaoru stops his running and flails a little, not enjoying the helpless feeling of floating. Mizu barks, still movings his legs.

"Nahh. Hikaru and I are going to win this race. Sorry guys." She grins.

"Sweet." Hikaru grins and continues his slow walk toward them, finally passing them after a few minutes.

"Not fairrrr!" Kaoru swipes at the air as Mizu yips in confusion.
